“I am really happy with the expertise of this nursery and all the workers I've met over the years are simply nice and ask about what you would be looking for. Jake is really informative with his varietal information and they even have a few bonsai now. They always have a few new plants that are interesting or unique types you just can't find anywhere else I've seen. They have contractor accounts but they Do care about gardening enthusiasts that come in. Other nurseries I went to only care about contractor accounts but this nursery is just a nice environment for gardeners of all ages. Recently when I went to a tree nursery in Mesa I was treated badly by the staff and I just remembered how good Elgin is in comparison. I really appreciate it and just wanted to extend my review and my thanks.”

“We are lucky to have this operation near us. Sprinkler World, with Ben and others on the team, is the best store I've been to in a long time. Unlike the big box stores where you have literally no one to help, or you end up with some guy from Electrical trying to help you find an irrigation part, this store has staff that know what they are doing and who can help you out. Their major business is working with irrigation contractors, but they are super nice to homeowners as well. They'll explain how to use the gear and/or get it fixed for you. I had a clock fixed on my Irrigation timer and was happy to not have to buy a new one. Great place, you won't be sorry!”

“Unparalleled and exceptional service from Corey at Howard's Ace Hardware procuring a new Napoleon Grill. Has not been set up or delivered yet, but I am expecting no issues with that. The service and information I received leading up to the purchase of a pretty expensive grill was unbelievable and I was consistently supported through all phases of the purchase (all made while several thousands of miles away). I am looking forward to bringing more of my business to this location (despite it not being the closest location to my house), as I am grateful for the ease of the transaction, Corey's friendly and expert advice and ongoing communication.”

“This place is a gem; one of the last mom and pop stores out there. Yes, you'll be greeted by Bob and he can tell you anything you want to know about plants. Writes you a paper receipt. Helps you out to your car with purchases. Small shop so small inventory - that's how it works, no biggie. We found three small plants that worked perfectly. To those complaining about the locked door, the neighborhood isn't the greatest - do you blame him? Bob is older and comes to the door when you knock - easy. Thanks, Bob!”
“I had got 2 pygmy palms from here 2 years ago....(they were a bit expensive for the same size in home improvement stores, but they looked much healthier)... they gave me very good instructions on how to plant and take care of the palms...i simply followed the steps and it's been 2 years now ..and my palms are super beautiful and happy and makes me feel very happy!”
“I’ve been here with my family probably a dozen times over the last seven or so months. Most recently, it was because that’s what my toddler wanted to do on his 3rd birthday. Specifically, he wanted to see Mr. Robert, feed the fish, and visit “Hi Guy” the parrot.
The kid LOVES this place and if he’s not asking to go to Green Goddess, he’s making up stories about Green Goddess (like the one time he and his friends had a party and they went to Green Goddess nursery and the zoo). I mention the above because if a plant nursery is making that kind of impression on a boy who wasn’t even 2 1/2 the first time he visited, that seems really special.
All the staff have been incredible, especially when they have seen us there multiple days in a row. Robert deserves a special shout out, though. He has never failed to take a moment out of his day to speak with my son, me, and/or my in-laws. He is so warm and friendly that my usually-shy son asks for him by name and wants to look for Mr. Robert as soon as we arrive. If we’re purchasing something bigger or heavier that day, Robert always provides help himself or ensures someone is available to assist us out to the car.
As a final note, it has been an absolute pleasure to witness the change in some of the birds since we started visiting Green Goddess. My son has a favorite parrot and he (or she) seemed to be speaking more when we were there last. He came down to the front of the cage to visit up close with my son and did several playful head bobs and head tilts. We’ve also seen birds regrow their plucked feathers over the course of time.”
