“I stopped in to replace 4 plants that didn't make it through last summer's heat, 2 Gardenias & 2 Grass Purple Fountain. I was greeted by Kaelan Conley. I told him what I needed/wanted. We discussed planting/delivery options. Lucky for me he knows his business! He got me all set up with the plants & flowers that I was looking for, delivery & planting. He walked me to my car, found out we are both Mustang lovers, and had a great car discussion. I appreciate the friendly/knowledgeable customer service that I receive every time I come to Moon Valley Nurseries!”

On our last visit, one of the staff took time to show & tell the kids all about the Black Solider Flies. There's a shaded playground for the little ones, too. They have everything you need for an amazing garden!”

“Awesome place to even just walk through. Beautiful plants, really cool sculptures, and outstanding customer service.It's a sea of trees and shrubs, sun and shade. Everywhere I went, someone was out there offering assistance. I found exactly what I needed, and check-out was a breeze. They even had lady bugs and praying mantai. I got a praying mantis nest last year. They are so cool! You just leave it in the shade, and then one day in late spring, they hatch, and you open the container.It looked like hundreds! I waited until night to release them, so they're more likely to stick around. Some of them stuck around for a few months, which was just the coolest thing to see in my garden.This year, I got lady bugs. I'm having more spider mites and mealy bugs this year, and they're the best solution if they stick around.Thank you.”

“We stopped by Old West Cactus Farm while on our trip to AZ, and had a great experience. The father-son duo there assisted my mom to pick out cacti to fly home with us, and helped to pack them nicely for transport.They walked us through the greenhouses full of rare and beautiful cacti, they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful!Incredible selection.”

“Beautiful nursery for the downtown area. Really nice, creative arrangements. I found a couple items at fair prices. Larger cactus were on the expensive side, but I did find some fairly rare finds that warranted the higher price tag. Small indoor plants priced at $15 to $20 that are $5 to $10 in the suburbs or northern nurseries. Everything looked healthy. I asked the nice gentleman about some good finds in the $40 range. I'm used to finding 2 gallon cactus in that range, but no dice. He did point me to some nice agave that I ended up grabbing. Arizona has amazing nurseries. It's great to have this closer to the DT Phoenix area.”

“What a great experience. You never know what you'll get when you walk into a Nursery. Some places have very knowledgeable people, and others just have crappy plants. Elgin was a breath of fresh air for several reasons: 1. Selection. They had a lot of what I was looking for, in various sizes. I was searching for some hard-to-find citrus that nobody else had, and they had lots of them. 2. Great, healthy plants. Everything they had looked green, vibrant, healthy, and was well taken care of and not strewn about. The place was clean and well managed. 3. Super knowledgeable. They shared a ton of knowledge and tips with me, even though I had not bought anything from them. They had excellent advice and referred me to an amazing landscape and tree guy. They spent a lot of time with me, and never pushed for a sale. Now I'll buy all my plants from them. 4. Selection and supply. TONS of soils, mulches, fertilizers, tools, planters. And one of the best selection of trees and plants. Overall a great place and great experience. My favorite nursery in the valley.”

“HUGE place with amazing variety. Biggest I've seen in the valley. My issue is that items aren't priced. I had to take pictures of items and show employees. I'm fine with it, really. I will come back. You just don't have to label all plants with prices but put a sign up stating that this group is $40. Some of the prices are high, but you can find good deals. $40 for a two gallon cactus isn't outrageous. Found another 2 gallon and they wanted $80. Ouch!”

“Today was our second visit to the nursery and Kim has helped us both times. She’s a plant guru! She’s so knowledgeable, answers all our questions and is beyond helpful. We purchased banana trees and soil our first visit and today we bought a pomegranate tree, almond bushes, soil and compost. We’ll be back in March for an avocado tree also! You must give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. Maybe you’ll get lucky and get to pet one of the cats that help care for the nursery too! Don’t forget to check out the koy pond while you’re there, this nursery has more to offer than just plants! So thankful to Yuma Vet for referring us. We’ll be back, even if it’s a 2hr drive for us, it’s worth it!”

“I've got to say, it is very, very rare these days that you find Customer Service and good all around folks at any business. Sprinkler world is awesome! I stopped in with a broken pathway light spike. I anticipated they'd either tell me that particular spike is no longer manufactured, or it's on back order and cost $1 million, etc. Instead, Andrew, the gentleman behind the counter, took a look at my broken pathway light spike, went into the back storage area, and came back with the exact item I needed. He said someone had brought in a broken light sometime ago and left the spike behind along with the broken light. He gave it to me free of charge. Andrew, you're legit! I highly recommend sprinkler world. Above and beyond. Not only did Andrew have the foresight to save a piece like that, but he did so strictly to help someone out should a random person needing that random piece ever stopped in. Well, that random person was me. Thanks sprinkler world, and thanks Andrew.”

“Great products!! We have ordered a Meyer lemon tree and a peach tree from the Urban Farm. Along with the trees, they provide excellent education. I attended one of their Zoom seminars and I learned a lot about fertilizing, pruning, and tree care. Their website is amazing with so my opportunities to learn about trees, gardening, composting, etc.”

“My fountain was having issues and I called hoping for a referral. Instead, Justin called me back (TWICE!) and we problem solved the issue over the phone. It was an easy fix on my end, but not intuitive. Another company quoted $650 to fix my issue. Justin suggested a little silicone would do the trick. I had a tube. $0 later, the fountain was fixed. In all my years managing a house, this is the first time that a company called me back and then back again when I hadn't responded within a few days. That is true customer service. They will have my business in the future, for certain.”

“I used Sprinkler World to get some irritrol valves which you usually don't get at home depot or lowes. I must say, loved the experience at the store in phoenix. I could call them up on the phone first, and get the prices right away . Not only were they cheaper than the online suppliers but also the quick service and great customer experience I had, I would definitely be going there in case I needed supplies to fix my sprinklers. I got to know more about how the valve worked in 5 minutes from the team at sprinkler world than i got to know from hours of pouring through videos on the internet.”

“Entry was a bit odd but we were greeted by a beautiful pup named Gypsy and shortly after, her owner. There were several large and very healthy plants in the front half of the store and Bob was delighted to tell me all about them. The two proprietors were friendly and very helpful. This may be my new spot for specialty plants. They really seem to be passionate about what they provide and it was very nice chatting with them. Even if you don't buy anything, they were very kind! Please check this place out and give it a chance. We need more locally owned businesses like this one!”
