We were looking for 5 gallon oleander plants and we had already gone to two of the big hardware stores prior to the visit here. The staff was very helpful and perfect in every way. We bought 15 large plants and they were way better quality for a little bit cheaper of a price you're an awesome place to go and very fun. Can't wait for our next visit! Thank you!

Navea was the hardest working employee there. My family and I went to buy two citrus trees and she was the only one who stepped up to help. Meanwhile everyone else just stood there. While loading up the trees Huigo the “manager” dropped our 24 GALLON trees 3 feet in the air onto our trailer! Overall if you do go to this location ask for her she was amazing.

I’m really disappointed with how I was treated and the staffs’ unwillingness to answer a few simple questions. There were 4+ staff members present and I finally got the attention of one older lady behind the main desk. She was rather irritated that I asked if they had a greenhouse and where I can enter because it was tucked away with an awkward entrance. then she was really mad that I asked if they had any more (small) succulents on the property. She lectured me about how the succulents in the greenhouse were what I was looking for and can be placed outside. I wanted to know if there were any succulents on the property, specifically not within the greenhouse, because I wasn’t thrilled with the selection inside the greenhouse. I found the staff members were unprofessional and not customer oriented. The other locations ALWAYS greet me as I enter and ask if I need any assistance.
The condition of the plants within the greenhouse were questionable. Some broken, some had rotting pieces, some with powdery mildew, but some were decent. I’d definitely suggest going to the Gilbert location and not this location. I recommend the az plant stand right around the corner from here too. I won’t be coming back to this location and definitely don’t recommend shopping here unless you specifically want landscaping plants.
What I recommend for this location to improve is to be more friendly to the walk-in customers. Not everyone is here to shop for landscaping. I felt overwhelmed with the lack of directions and felt utterly ignored by staff. Staff should be more welcoming and more willing to answer customer questions.

For over eight years my wife and I built our new home near South Mountain, we’ve been visiting, shopping, and purchasing a variety of plants, trees, shrubs, and vegetables as well as some outdoor ornaments and decorative items from Whitfil Nursery. Their variety of plants, both regular and seasonal, has overall been incredibly beautiful and very good. And their knowledgeable staff are helpful in many ways. Many of the plants purchased were also installed by their crews. They have hundreds of acres to get tired walking around in making your selections of annuals, perennials, fruit trees, cacti, with assorted sizes, styles, and configurations. You can’t miss their entrance with an old jalopy truck van parked out front! Thank you Whitfil for being there!

Went to their clearance area and grabbed a few plants, a lady with short hair approached when I was checking out and questioned me where I got the plants. I told her the discounted shelf and she asked “you diiiid, in the baaack?” In a rude way. Then she said “I would sell these for full price” so she told me they would be full price and the other sad plant I picked up was $15. I let her know there were other plants like it on the sale shelf and she should take them off if she didn’t want to discount them.
I had been here one other time and the sale prices were $1 and $5. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything and have no plans to come back soon.

While walking around with my wife and kids, my 4 year old son asked one of the customer service employees what she was doing, which she replied "what does it look like I'm doing?!" With a real condescending attitude. My wife spends a lot of money on plants, and this location is close to home, but I can assure you that after today, we will not ever be returning to Whitfill Nursery ever again. I've worked many years doing customer service, and I would never even treat the worst customers with that kind of attitude, especially children. Maybe if they're going to hire people like that, they should keep them behind the scenes where they don't talk to the customers. The best part is, there's no prices on anything, and every time we go, it seems as though they just pull random prices out of thin air. The most unorganized unprofessional company I've ever dealt with.

I've been coming here on and off for years. The tall older lady that works there has been really nasty to my family and I the last few times we've been there. I don't understand why you have someone who seems to hate people and children working in customer service. This last time I went here she was exceptionally condescending and nasty to my son who was just being friendly. I will never buy my plants from here again and will make sure to let others know about my experiences.

HUGE place with amazing variety. Biggest I've seen in the valley. My issue is that items aren't priced. I had to take pictures of items and show employees. I'm fine with it, really. I will come back. You just don't have to label all plants with prices but put a sign up stating that this group is $40. Some of the prices are high, but you can find good deals. $40 for a two gallon cactus isn't outrageous. Found another 2 gallon and they wanted $80. Ouch!

Prices are expensive, they had a tree in the front that my young children and i were smelling and touching and they waited until after we asked what kind of tree it was to tell us it was very highly poisonous to touch, smell and eat. Great job guys. why would you have something like that in the front where all the customers (who dont know) caN touch it and smell it... they watched us do it and theres not even a sign on the tree.
