“I moved to downtown Phoenix with my two kiddos from rural Missouri, Born and raised on a farm with so many different animals. Moving to the city so definitely a big difference, so when Superstition Farms came across my reels on Facebook, I planned a trip the next day! So happy I decided to! From goats to pigs to bunnies even a peacock, there’s so many animals to pet and enjoy! We came on a Tuesday evening so there were even some local vendors and tacos for Taco Tuesday!
What a great experienced free of charge! $3 for a good size bucket to feed the animals who are all friendly!

I’m entirely grateful for the year of support House of Refuge gave my family and me. After an eviction, your program provided a safe place to recover, practical help with resources, expenses, clothing, and the stability we needed to get back on our feet. Because of you I found a job and continued my education — I don’t know what I would have done without that fresh start.

The support from staff and the community is unmatched. Every member remembers you; there’s a felt sense of safety and familiarity in the faces you see daily. Even if you don’t speak to everyone, those connections revive you when life feels suffocating. The staff genuinely care — balancing warmth and tough love in a way that pushes you to be your best without ever making you feel alone. My kids still speak about that place and all the fun times, and when they go back for a visit, they're greeted warmly by the staff that spent time with them.

Leaving brings both excitement and sadness because I’ve made meaningful connections I’ll miss. This experience changed my life and my family’s life. I may never fully be able to communicate how much you’ve impacted us, but I will never forget that you were there during the hardest time of my life. Because of your effort and care, I can move forward with confidence and momentum.
