“I have never experienced a more gracious, accommodating business interaction. I was warmly greeted on entering the store a month ago. Back in my home state but remembering a cowhide stool I saw amidst beautiful rugs, I reached out by phone-- and was offered free delivery of the stool for a birthday gift, after first sending pictures and measurements and helping affirm my decision -- all very pleasantly and without pressure. I only wish I needed a beautiful rug since I know for certain I would buy it from Baluchi Rug Gallery. Thank you so much, Hamza and your father !”
“Stopped by this shop after lunch and I just loved it! Such a cute place—so full of charm. And I absolutely adored all the colorful pieces they had. Lots of beautiful, rustic Indian décor just my style! Honestly could’ve spent all afternoon browsing. Highly recommend popping in if you're in the area!”
“Tyler hesson has always been so amazing with taking care of any of my rug needs! Great atmosphere and knowledgeable staff member. 10/10 would recommend this place, and seeing Tyler!”
“I’m visiting from the Midwest and had one extra day, so I took a Waymo driverless vehicle to and from this place. That was fun in itself. Then I found all kinds of stuff to go through. And there were some great sales going on.”

“My husband and I came out to stroll the galleries in Old Town on Thanksgiving Day and Gregory greeted us warmly and enthusiastically. My husband bought a postcard set titled, Indian Arts & Images (ZON International Publishing, Santa Fe, New Mexico) commemorating Native American ethnographic material culture. Gregory is a delight to chat with and it's a beautiful day because of it! Please support Scottsdale small business! ?? ”
“Wandered in and found Dennis and his mom to be a wealth of information. The shop is like visiting a museum!Oh, and then there was this fabulous silver bead necklace.....loving it!”
“Power tip: we were here just walking downtown, browsing around to see what's interesting. Walked into this quaint family-run shop. The gentleman was very nice to us, educating us on various things, including interesting facts about different types of turquoise. The lady was also very nice, educating us on Hopi Indian spiritual figures, in addition to making recommendations for hikes locally. Even though we didn't get anything, as my friend was looking for a very specific type of jewelry that they didn't carry, their generosity with their time was appreciated. They were also altruistic in recommending another shop down the street to find what she was looking for. I'll definitely come back if I want to get anything that they carry.”

“John Hill is a one of the very best Antique Indian Art dealers. I have been interacting with John for years and he has always been patient, fair, and extremely knowledgable. He is one of the top kachina experts, and his kachinas are the highest quality. I also love his jewelry. I can endlessly browse his historic art pieces on his website. Highly recommended!”

“Indian jewelry done right in Old Town Scottsdale. Admist the clutter of tackier and tackier gift shops, Scottsdale Trading Post stands above the noise. This store is as quiet and unassuming as it's owner, but it is also filled with treasures and lure. I stopped by looking to replace a long-lost Navaho bangle and was pleasantly surprised to see several similar ones. The owner quickly had it buffed and ready to go at a reasonable price. He told us that his shop was the first of its kind in the area. Really appreciated the quiet and authenticity. Great stop!”
“I was so excited when I came upon Over the Top Consignment Shoppe! What an unexpected treasure trove of exquisite porcelain, crystal and jewelry. I purchased a stunning Daum perfume bottle (an absolute show stopper) and a rare Sabino art deco vase (Les Plumes), both in excellent condition. I am still considering two large Herend platters. Liz, the owner, was great fun and offered to ship both items to my home in Chicago to save on tax. If you are a serious collector, or just love looking at beautiful things, do not miss this shop!”
