McDowell Mountain Golf Club is a premier public golf course in Scottsdale, Arizona, located in the valley of the McDowell Mountains. It offers the amenities of a private club without memberships. The course is fun to play for all levels and has been in great shape, with greens and fairways in great condition. Many find it a refreshing experience and the best the course has been in years. The pace of play is usually really good. However, some note the sand traps are abysmal with hard, coarse sand, and the driving range is in poor condition, often just dirt, requiring hits off mats. After golf, the Mesquite Grille restaurant offers stunning views of the Sonoran Desert valley. The food is awesome and the service is amazing and beyond excellent, providing a unique dining venue. The club also accommodates events with impressive service and cleanliness. While some feel it is not a good value for the money, others call it beyond fabulous and a must try.
Not a bad track, Greens and fairways were in great shape. The sand traps however were abysmal, very hard and very coarse sand. COVID is over, bring back the ball washers. And if you're going to charge 200 plus taxes you could at least include water in with the ice you put in the cooler box. Not a good value for the money.

So far this season, the course has been in great shape. Usually, you may tee off at your confirmed tee time or sooner and the pace of play is really good (usually not held up playing or have anyone on your tail). I enjoy playing the course and have been for the last 2 years.

Loved this place. Nice condition in early March and very friendly staff. Had lunch at the restaurant too— very good. ?
