The service is great here. I didn't know how to open my BMW key fob, and all I was doing was buying a battery, and they opened the key fob for me. They have great customer service. They Test it out after they put in the key fob battery for me.

Worst location we have ever been. They fail to follow the Ace policies and guidelines and the staff was beyond rude. When we ask questions about these policies, they advise it’s “just what the owner wants”. These policies are not posted and change when it is convenient or fits their agenda. We will be submitting this to regulators as a violation.

This Ace Hardware has a consistently GREAT customer service reputation. I have been coming here for over the past 10 years. A great neighborhood hardware store with great value that you don't get from the BIG BOX stores. They pack in a good selection of outdoor, home, and gardening items. I primarily come in when I need to replace a small nut or screw or some other small consumable since they have a great selection and price. The employees always ask if I need help with anything and check out is always speedy with no problems. To sum it up GREAT Value and GREAT Customer Service are what keep me coming back year after year.

Employees told me there was a 90 day return policy. Came back less than 30 days later and they denied my return on a defective itemEdit due to owner response: I explained to your staff that the pump would intermittently shut off and the cooler would need to be restarted. Because of that issue I simply purchased another one (at a cheaper price with a competetor, walmart) and planned on returning the defective one. Your manager Derek took it to the back, ran it for 30 seconds and called it fine. The fact of it is any other retailer would have taken care of the customer and sent me on my way. Most other retailers will even let you do a return if you "no longer need the item". But instead you and your staff chose to be argumentative and confrontational. In the future ill stick to the big box retailers who uphold thier warranties and return policies.

Found this place after years of living close by and ignoring it as I drove to Lowes. Big mistake on my end. This place has most of the same main products for home repair, auto repair, pool and garden supplies etc. And it's all cheaper than the big chains. Better service. Better prices. Better location. Just better.

Nice hardware store, you can find things that others do not have or sell.

I’ve been coming here for many years and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the last 10 times I’ve been here there is always someone harassing you for monetary donations at the front door. I love to help people, in fact I dedicate my life’s work to troubled youth. However when I’m going to buy a can of spray paint the last thing I want to do is to endure an uncomfortable exchange over the fact that I don’t have a physical dollar on me for kids with cancer. I’ve hoped that I would be able to shop here (even sometimes) without the barrage for a donation but it’s an all the time thing now. :/ I truly believe one should donate from the goodness of their heart, on their own terms, and am surprised this is a donation method that even occurs anymore, much less outside of my local Ace. Maybe handouts to give to those walking out who can follow a link to donate if they wish? Something other than pressure on the spot.

Andrew gave me a precision key FOB for my car that saved me a huge amount over what I was charged at the pesky dealership!

I've been coming here since 1994 when I moved to Tempe. Since, I have moved to Chandler, back to Tempe and now on Dobson and Baseline. Any small Hardware item I need, I will always come here first. Always. Weed killer, chlorine, bolts, screws, air filters etc. Ace is the first place I will stop. BUT......You put those donation people in front of the store and I will drive off, right to Lowes or H.D. The last thing I want is to be harassed going in and going out. The one time I offered a few dollars to them they were offended. "First off sir, we won't take your cash, but if you would like to buy this $35 backpack for a kid in need.."Wait, wait, wait. Did you just ask me for $35? Oh and thanks for making me feel like a dick on my way out. Sorry my $3 wasn't good enough. Today I pulled up, and pulled right back out. Dear Ace. Men want to go in and get what we need, not be harassed going to our hardware store. I may seem cold, but Im sure I speak for a lot of us.

My grandma absolutely loves this place because it is small yet has everything she needs. It's much better than the large Walmart or home depot or Lowe's. It's our favorite hardware store.

I have been coming to this particular ace for nearly 15 years since I live right down the street from it. I have seen a lot of employees come and go and the current staff surely recognizes me as a regular, so tell me why were the employees following me around the store watching me like I am going to steal something when I was last here? Every aisle I walked down I had one of these people at the end of the row standing there watching me. If theft is that much an issue here hire a security guard it ain’t worth risking your elderly employees when they try to stop the wrong person who’s desperate enough to steal some hardware or paint or whatever.

Just a shout out to Mark who helped 3 different customers, including me. A friendly guy who no one had to track down. He's in the aisles looking for people to help.

small shop with limited stock. they do not sell dog food at many ACE locations, which is a shame as they are one of the few places that sells Call of the wild brand dog foods. it also seems that ace is still having some distribution issues after the pandemonium and all. many of the products (fittings and plumbing parts) they have carried in the past have changed dramatically towards a lesser quality than their past inventory. there were many pins of stock empty or close to it. why are there 5 ace hardware stores within 3 miles of my house if each one only has a portion of the inventory they can hold? life's mysteries.

Absolutely love this place. It's difficult to describe how frustrating it can be to be female and go to a hardware store. I was at Home Depot earlier to get plywood and was talked down to and called "sweetheart" several times. At Ace, and particularly this Ace, I've always felt respected and genuinely welcomed. I can't thank the staff enough for their knowledge and the environment they create. I particularly want to give a shout out to Elijah for all his help. I hope Ace takes care of him as much as he takes care of the folks who shop at Ace.
