Enjoyed my stay at the Aloft Tempe. The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to highways, ASU, and nearby amenities. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and well-appointed. Nice cozy lobby, bar, outdoor area, and pool. Convenience store has a wide variety of snacks, beverages, meals, and other essentials for purchase 24/7. There is a bit of noise from the neighboring highway and planes overhead, but it didn't bother me overnight and the hotel provides earplugs if you need them. The one minor disappointment during my stay was the non-functional electric vehicle charging station. All of the Tesla and non-Tesla EV chargers were in poor condition, with busted connectors and wires sticking out (safety hazard?). At least one of the Tesla chargers worked, but the only J1772 charger had a fault. I contacted the charging company listed on the station, who told me that the chargers are owned by the property and the hotel is responsible for arranging maintenance.

Each year I go to Phoenix for a week to enjoy spring training baseball. I have stayed at 3 different Hyatt properties including their Andaz in Scottsdale. Then the Aloft Tempe opened and I have been staying here for the last five years. First it is super convenient to the interstates, the ballparks, old town Scottsdale and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. But what sets this hotel apart from the rest is their people. Their front desk staff call me by name every time I walk past their desk (shout out to Kate who is amazing). Their housekeeping staff are super friendly as well. I would be remiss for not mentioning the rest….so shout out to Steve, Lisa, Kevin, Linda and of course Kate. Thank you for always making my stay a wonderful experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel (March 2024) and all I can say was WOW. We had some challenges but the front end manager Steve went above and beyond in making sure that he addressed every one of our issues. Coming from a sales position myself I know how important customer service is and he completely gets it !

Lobby and rooms are nice, modern and clean. Location feels safe but is loud from airplanes overhead and freeway close by. They provide earplugs but it was still hard for me to sleep. The beds are comfortable though!Noteworthy details: You’re pretty much under the flight path so it’s loud from the planes and nearby freeway. But they do provide earplugs.

Initially I had a problem with the corporate card on file vs what was allowed to be charged. So I had to eat this business trip with my personal funds (but not letting that cloud my judgment). I think the hotel is an above average experience for the brand. They are putting in the extra effort for elites with the welcome gift, have a stunning outdoor area (with pool and fire pit). Although I didn’t use the fire pit, it was really nice to see it from my room. Location is really great and there is a really long path along the river if you are a runner, walker, biker, etc. The only negative that comes to mind is the shower head was very clogged from dirt and seemed to spray everywhere but on you, but that should be an easy fix for them. Aside from the shower head being clogged, I’m glad they use good shower heads with enough nozzles to give you a good experience. I would stay again.

I was very disappointed in this place. We arrived, had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to come to the check in desk, then were told that there was some sort of computer problem and that they could NOT check us in (even though we had prepaid with a third party app). We waited about 1 1/2 hours and they approached again. This time the desk agent was talking to the bar staff and just ignored us ... at least 15 minutes. Then were told that the problem still existed and could not check us in. There were many others "camped" out in the lobby as well waiting to check in. Asked for manager, was told HE was the manager and nothing he could do. Terrible customer service !! We cancelled our reservation through third party and left. We found another local hotel that was much better ! DO NOT STAY HERE.

Exceptional hospitality from both the welcome/check in staff and any workers I interacted with here. They made me feel valued as a Marriott customer and were very friendly. The location is excellent and the rooms are nice. There are LOTS of good grab and go food and drink options as well as an actual cooked to order breakfast. Whoever is managing this place at the current time is doing a great job training and/or hiring good employees. My only 2 complaints would be that while the pillows are some sort of down/feather they collapse immediately. Virtually zero support and they get flat. Even doubling them up I had a difficult time getting comfortable. And depending on the time of the day there is a decent volume of plane traffic so depending where your room is it might be a little noisy.Otherwise a great place and also they have a cool bar / lounge area and tons of quick eat restaurants walkable from the property. Ample free parking too.

I think this location and premises deserve a solid 4 stars. When we checked in and out last week, the process was smooth and easy. 5 star customer service. The night we stayed passing thru Phoenix/Tempe, there was a lot of noise down the hall from other guest(s) and the walls are paper thin. I was wondering why ear plugs were given on our beds, and quickly found out that was one reason. I didn't hear any airplanes fly by, however. The room was spacious and clean - the only couple of maintenance issues we had was the mirrored bathroom door was shattered and the bathroom sink had some sort of adhesive tape wrapped around the base and it was just unsightly. We traveled with our small dog, and the pet fee is reasonable ($50). Food wise there is an In N' Out and Starbucks are just across the street. When I filled out the customer service survey, the manager sent me an email thanking me for my input and time which I appreciated. I would stay here again on another visit but ask for a different floor that may not get as much foot/noise traffic from other guests.

The location is about as good as it gets, right near In N Out, Jersey Mike's, and Starbucks. The water and coffee are included. But everything else, we had to pay for, as no breakfast was included. The bar was pretty good, they had several local beers on tap, they were all around $10 each. So it may not have been cheap, but the variety was fine. And the rooms have that European feel to them. No closed drawers in the room, only a Book of Mormon, and our room had no Bible, which was ridiculous. I also liked the bathroom, the shower had pump bottles of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Good water pressure as well. The negative to it was there was no fan or air ventilation in the bathroom...which is very much needed. One of the weirdest things was the TV turns off on its own after a certain amount of time and it can't be stopped. It displays a 60 second timer that it'll be shutting off and you have to hit OK on the remote to stop it. Except hitting OK didn't do anything. So several times, we had to turn the TV back on and let it load back up, which took a few seconds. I hope other hotels don't do this too. Maybe it's for saving electricity and it's assuming we're asleep?Staff was very nice, they allowed me into the meeting room so I could have a quiet place to record videos for my Youtube channel.
