I love books. I enjoy looking at a rack of books and seeing what catches my eye. I love opening the dust jacket and reading the summary. Those things have mostly faded away in the world of Nooks and online book retailers. However, I am happy that local bookstores and in this case national bookstores still exist. I still stop in when I am at Tempe Marketplace and see if there is a new book I must read or even a magazine on the racks to read on an upcoming flight.

Came with my wife for the midnight release of “House of Flame & Shadow.” We called far in advance to join the list, but once we arrived and came to the table they didn’t have any record of it (who knows if it was on us or them.)Long story short, Delaney, a staff member sought us out and gave my wife the exclusive wristband - made her whole day. Thanks Delaney!

The sale book selection wasn't as large as some B&N stores. But, the regular selection was great and the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable.

Went shopping for Xmas gifts, was seeking to purchase Jujutsu Kaisen book volume 7,8. After looking I had no luck, I asked the register for help and they informed me it showed 1 of each in stock. I continued to look with no luck. I returned to ask for further assistance, the young gal broadcast on the radio my needs and directed staff to come help me. Needless to say not one person responded to help me and that was that. So in short; work staff are not too attentive to customer needs.

I believe I was the first customer of 2024 and it was a great feeling. It was such fun to walk around see all the books and toys and fun things to get. the staff are very nice. This is one of my favorite bookstore chains.

It never gets old. The great smell of books and coffee. Still around and managed well. Barnes and truly Noble. Go and get some “me time”. A great bookstore and an oasis amidst all the hustle and bustle.

Edit: I come here often but its always so unnecessarily dangerous crossing the road to get to it. Why can't we even have a pedestrian cross in front of the store. Nobody cares about their customers like Target does in that matter.Love hanging out here and buying books and board games

I am officially done with this Barnes & Noble. I have been frequenting this location FOR YEARS but as of today, I will never return. I was, yet again, followed around the store by staff. they are not even discreet about it.. and then I watched in horror as security approached a woman and said ma'am "they" want you to leave the store immediately. the lady was confused and clearly mortified and responded "well can I at least ask why?" I couldn't hear his response but I heard her say "yes I used the restroom and now I am getting in line to purchase my items" but security wouldn't let her purchase anything and just kept insisting that she get out. I am disgusted with this store treating everyone like thieving criminals. You are losing good loyal paying customers over this crap so shame on you. You just lost a long time loyal customer. Maybe you should have treated your customers with some dignity and respect.
