I usually go to this location with my wife as we live nearby. Every time we go there, its a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately, tonight changed that. My wife and I enter and there is a short Hispanic girl that is behind the counter. She didn't have a name tag on, which I'm sure after reading this, will make sense as to why she wouldn't. She asks us what we would like. I said "I'd like a 'gotta have it' of french vanilla." She didn't say anything and started scooping with attitude slamming the ice cream on the counter. She didn't smile at me when I smiled at her, and she had her ear-pods in, which is extremely unprofessional when serving the public in customer service.She asked me if I wanted any toppings; now usually I have them put a lot of chocolate chips in because I love them at cold stone and they have never given me an issue about it. So I said I'd like a lot of chocolate chips. She, giving me attitude, said it will be extra. I have gone to cold stone for 10 years, and have ordered the same thing both from this location and across Tempe and Chandler, and never was told this before. Unfortunately, I was told this with attitude to boot. I asked her not understanding why, and she said the first scoop is free, but the next ones are extra. Again the attitude was ridiculous and I started to get pretty pissed honestly. I said, "No I'm good just do the normal then." She, with more attitude made my wife's and when we checked out, she looked at my wife and said "have a good night" disrespectfully not saying it to both of us.To boot, the ice creams came out to just shy under $20. When I paid, they asked for a tip. So, they want a tip, $20 for the ice cream, and extra for the toppings? Ridiculous.I think its ridiculous that people in these types of customer service positions are allowed to both come to work with attitude and ear-pods in their ears. I won't be coming back to this location because of her. I don't waste my mental health with people who obviously want to spread their rudeness to others.

I’m not too sure if it’s a trend nowadays but most of the cold stones are closing 10 minutes before they close. I went to this location today, the one by university last week, and another location the week before. I think they should consider the fact that some people work the night shifts and barely have time to go anywhere for food after their shift. The staff didn’t answer their phone when we called, at least 4 cars including myself were approaching and got disappointed. It was 9:47pm. Arizona is a right to work state. If you don’t want to work, then there is a right to fire.

The employees did not listen to my order and gave me a waffle bowl instead of a cone, then made it a big deal when I brought it up, so I just let it be. Plus, my ice cream tasted like freezer rather than the flavor I chose. I was very disappointed, especially given the price they charge...

Just came into cold stone and immediately got treated with zero respect. Walked in and some girl with blue eyes, blonde hair, red lipstick had a horrible attitude. She slammed everything. She basically slammed the ice cream on the counter. Slammed the doors. Rushed me to make a decision after giving me LITERALLY 30 seconds to decide. so disrespectful.

I usually love Cold Stone. However, this visit was a disappointment at best. Staff was unprofessional and the store was dirty. Definitely not the normal ColdStone experience.

Horrible experience with my grandchildren. We had pizza and wanted ice cream as dessert. We were told go outside and eat your pizza and you can come back in and eat your ice cream. It's record breaking heat. Wow sad. My grandkids didn't understand and they just said sorry..

It's Cold Stone. Good ice cream, good variety of toppings, probably definitely not healthy for you. But it's ice cream, that's to be expected.

My wife and I come into this location regularly and we love it! If Allison is working she always brings a smile to our face as well as excellent service. She made a great recommendation for us - mixing marshmallow ice cream with raspberry sorbet.

At approximately 2243 date 5/19/2023 entered location asked for a regular chocolate shake the females acted as if it was a chore and didn’t want to make me a shake. Pure laziness will not be back at the McClintock and Southern location ever again.

In the five plus years I have lived in the neighborhood the kids that work here always seem bothered when I come in. I'm wondering if I just order ice cream wrong?So based on the rude service I stopped going here and instead go to baskin-robbins across the street where I find the service always friendly
