Initially the process was great. I ordered two 8x20 units and they couldn't be delivered the same day due to driver availability. That worked for me because I couldn't load both in the same day.When I scheduled for the units to be picked up, 10 days in advance, the Friday came and no one arrived. I called and spoke with Lee and she apologized and said I wasn't on the schedule and promised the boxes would be picked up the next business day. I asked how it was possible to be on the schedule and then have this error. She didn't have a response to that but apologized and repeated they would be there on Monday. Monday rolls around and by 1pm there was no driver so I called again. Lee called the driver and he said he was in traffic and wouldn't make it. Our house had closed escrow and we were moved out of house. The new owner was very upset and understanding the FIRST time this happened. The boxes were eventually picked up a week later which is unacceptable.Fast forward to request my boxes be delivered so I can move into my new home, unload and return boxes before the next rent is due and they don't have enough drivers....I have been calling everyday and I was told by Rhonda that I would not be charged rent since it was their lack of staff to deliver.I will update this review once I get my boxes.

Worst moving experience I’ve ever had. I received a pod on 10/22 to my apartment complex. It was to be picked up on 10/24. I was moving into my new home on 11/4 so cool box was to store the box for me until then. They never picked my box up from the apartment complex (it sat there for 2 weeks) so someone broke my lock and stole my belongings. No one left me a message about my pod not being picked up, I went back to the apartment complex when I saw it wasn’t delivered to my new home. A cool box employee informed me it was my fault it wasn’t picked up because the driver wasn’t able to pick it up due to where it was placed and then when the went out to get it again there was no lock so they wouldn’t pick it up. They knew there was no lock on it and didn’t bother to inform me.The driver who did pick my pod up to deliver my remaining possessions was amazing, very skilled driver and more sympathetic to my stuff being stolen than anyone else I spoke with at the company.

When returning the boxes to our new house, they actually delivered them to our OLD house. Put them on the driveway and street in front of our OLD house. They did get them moved to our new house on the same day. Then they were suppose to pick them up 2 days later, never got picked up until 4 days later - our HOA sent complaint letter. Took many calls to Coolbox to finally get them picked up. Spoke to VP who said that the driver was no where to be found - must have quit. He was friendly and apologized, but his people kept telling us driver was coming each day. They did not charge us for the return of the boxes. In the end it worked out, but what a hassle !!

Company ran a promotion on our local news station, called in around 11/21 to take advantage of the promotion. It was all smooth,the closing date on our home moved by a day. I contacted to move the date after they called me about a payment declining (I gave a card that had limited funds for a reason). Worked with a gentleman, do not recall his name while on the call he mentioned that they were busy on wed(day before turkey day) and that 11/29 would be a better date. Woke up this morning to a voicemail, their driver called out and they do not have anyone else, The gentleman I spoke with today Named Isaiah was about the most rude individual you have ever met. The female Tricia isn't much better, she gets defensive and asks what do you want me to do we have no drivers.... This company clearly has some issues with organization and staffing, I would avoid em, like the plague. I hope to god that they deliver like they are supposed to we have 8 days to get everything out, They advised me they need 3-5 days to schedule the move 40 miles away ( clearly some more organization issues). I hope at the end of this all I can change this to a 5 star review. No manager was available to speak with, was advised by both representatives I spoke with on 11/29( More scheduling and staffing issues). The company requires payment the day before delivery which is understandable, but why charge if you cant meet the delivery. I was compensated around 60 dollars for this inconvenience after 4 phone calls this morning, then hung up on twice. I will admit I could have been a better customer, However when you are facing a per day penalty for being in a home that is already sold can cause some stress. This could have been handled a lot better then just hanging up on a customer.

Cool box went above and beyond to help me out when POD's 3 days before delivery said they did not have enough drivers and could not pick up the POD in time even though I had scheduled a month in advance! Cool Box made sure we taken care of with all of our pick ups and drop offs, ON TIME, even in the busy season! They always confirmed the day before and the drivers always called when they were on their way. And they do not charge each time they drop off or pick up like PODS does. They were very pleasant to work with and all of their customer service reps were very nice especially Wendell!

This is probably the worst company i have ever dealt with. We rented a 8x20 storage unit to decluter and remove items from the house to get it ready to sell, the unit was delivered and picked up on time but when we had it delivered to the new home 1/4 of the boxes were destroyed by water damage, this unit had to have been under water with the amount of damage done. We left the boxes and items in the storage unit as the mold smell was unbearable, even the moving company did not want to touch them. i called and sent pictures immediately and have left several emails asking status of our claim, i have gotten one email that states a claim response can take up to 2 weeks to investigate the claim status, its been a month with no response. They claim there is only one person that does these claims, this unit was clearly under submerged under water for long periods of time. Read your contract they make you sign they will not cover any damage done by them even if they were at fault.

They are by far the cheapest storage solution out there! The don't nickel and dime you for delivery and pick up, I had nothing but great customer service from the office and the driver that delivered! The driver went above and beyond to make sure not to damage our paver driveway, he even stacked the 2X8's used to protect the driveway on the side yard, which when I got home I figured they'd be on the driveway still but nope, he moved and stacked them for me. They were great and I've already referred them to friends moving and will continue to do so. Thanks CoolBox for an easy and simple move and for saving me $500 over the other guys.
