Their pharmacy is incompetent. I'm in the medical field and if we treated patients this way and were this useless, we wouldn't have a job. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere.

Came in to pick up meds today and noticed the technician has long nails which should not be allowed in health care including pharmacy. The pharmacist didn’t seem happy with her job or assisting customers.

Went to Deli, Sheri The Manager of that section. Was unhelpful and very angry when I asked for Slices Of Bread. I will never come back here again. Worst Frys in Tempe.

ZERO Stars! Over priced goods, they are NEVER helpful when you need a service (returns, cash back, etc.) and I end up walking out frustrated with how they treat people EVERY TIME. I'm so sad they bought out Albertsons. Those are the two closest stores to me and this company is downright predatory. During covid I witnessed them treating their employees horribly! I kept asking over at Albertsons about merger news. One of the employees had actually quit Frys to go work at Albertsons because conditions were so awful and now is worried it will happen all over again. I hate the self check out lanes. I always do a full grocery trip after working a full day and exhausted. I don't want to struggle at a self check out lane. I want a cashier to ring me up and get me out the door. Lately, all they ever have open are self-check outs. I needed cash in various amounts and wanted to go through a cashier lane to get cash back in multiple denominations. They refused to open a lane and there was no one on duty in customer service to help me. It was only 9pm. I'd understand if it was in the middle of the night with a grave yard shift, but this was a simple customer service issue they refused to help with. I have stopped shopping there as much as possible. I'm from the Midwest and love Aldi, but they need to open a location between Tempe and chandler. If it was a little bit closer, I'd simply shop Aldi ALL the time.

Get rid of the new self-checkout machines. They are poorly designed and are non-functional -- even the very concept of them is objectively bad by design, the only purpose being to save paying a cashier... and this is coming from someone who has frequented the self-checkouts at Fry's since they were first incorporated in 2005.These machines fail, constantly. With only 3-bags of groceries, the clerk had to come over on 3 separate occasions because of the machine decided to stop working as it was suspicious of something that I had properly scanned and its conveyor belt scale failed. Now one might ask "why are you against these new conveyor belt machines but not the old self-checkouts?" The reason is the old self-checkouts actually brought value. In the space of 2 cashier lanes, you could fit 6 self-checkouts. These new conveyor belt self-checkouts take up all of the room of a cashiered checkout without any of the upsides.Let's take a look at the benefits between the three.Cashier-Driven Checkout Benefits:1. Order will not randomly lock up due to poorly engineered anti-theft preventions.2. Cashiers are faster at scanning items than anyone can at self-checkout, which is partially due to experience and otherwise due to 3 & 4.3. Cashiers can scan as fast as they can get the barcode registered, as the scanner is not turned off between each item while it waits to confirm weight of item.4. There is also a conveyor belt that items can be loaded on, so they can be brought directly from right-to-left hand as you swoop them through listening for each beep to verify it registered.5. For those who like it, they get to talk to someone.6. Someone bags your groceries for you, often faster than you can bag them.Traditional Self-Checkout Benefits:1. You bag your items as you go -- increased efficiency.2. You can fit more Traditional Self-Checkouts in the same amount of space.3. Increased availability due to the number of these checkouts as opposed to single-person lanes.4. For those who like it, you don't have to interact with anyone.New Conveyor Belt Self-Checkout Benefits:1. If you hate efficiency, you can now pick up every item twice! You have to scan it to send it down the conveyor belt, then pick it up again to bag it to place into your cart!2. If you love lines, these new checkouts take up the amount of space that you could put 3+ self checkouts!3. If you enjoy waiting while technology breaks, then don't worry -- these new machines have you covered!1/5, would be a 0 if I could input one. Almost as good as Del Taco's bathrooms if nobody cleaned them for a week.

I've been going here for a while. It has gotten worse over the years. Carts rarely at the entrance near the service desk entrance. Now in a sign they don't trust their customers they put in gates to force exits through the checkout area. The staff is nice but there is not enough to handle the slow times let alone the rush times. Expect a wait at checkout. Lastly the organization in the store does not make sense. Pantry items are split by the frozen section. :(Update 8/13/2023Still not enough staff. Every checkout is 5+ deep on a Sunday.

Darian has handled more of our order pick-ups at this location and every time we are met with the upmost care and helpfulness! They are always asking if we need anything else, asking us if we have any coupons, and reminds us that Fry's price matches their substitutions (which is super helpful when we have a smaller item substituted with a bigger size!) Very happy with their service!

The pharmacy is keeping my prescriptions. They no longer accept my insurance, so they will not fill my prescriptions. They won't let me transfer them to a pharmacy that does accept my insurance, they won't give me the prescriptions so I can take them someplace else and they will not allow me to pay for them either. I think the pharmacist wants them for himself since two of them are benzos. I'm suffering because they were supposed to be filled over a week ago. My mother had a stroke on mother's day and is still in the hospital. My Dr prescribed the medications to help me. But the pharmacist at frys has decided on his own that he will not fill them or transfer them

There have been no carts 3/3 visits to this location, employees on smoke breaks out front look trashy, and there were a handful of completely broken carts strewn about at the entrance. Overall not very clean either. Only redeeming quality is the produce is okay and generally stocked. Won't be going back to this location again.

I have been overcharged the last 3 times. The digital coupons seem to be the biggest inconsistencies. My last trip I was overcharged $18. I had to waste 10min getting my money back from an unfriendly and unapologetic employee. Cashiers and employees tend to be disgruntled and unappreciative of my business. I get better service at Walmart. Double check your receipts.

I’ve had similar experiences to the 1-stars below at other locations but for this location and with the exception of a lady who barked at me to listen better when I was literally taking notes while we spoke, I can confirm that every other time I’ve had an empathetic pharm tech expediting my script in a timely fashion and was notified via text when ready sooner than expected. I’ve seen a lot of new hires over the past few months so that might be correcting the issues over time.

Around 8:55-9:12pm last night,I accompanied one of my managers to get fresh fruits for our store and we were rung up by a cashier named, Analis. She was petite, brown hair, and wearing a pink shirt under her work attire apron. Upon ringing us up, my manager had asked if she could use a coupon and the cashier was right off the bat rude to her. Analis rudely explained the situation as to why we couldn’t use the coupon. We understood why we couldn’t use it after she explained it. However, she was doing gestures of annoyance and “wanting to go home”. She yanked my mangers phone away and was scrolling when my manager didn’t even ask her to take her phone, but to take a look at the coupon. She then proceeded to end the transaction with us by throwing the receipt at my manager. I understand, that frys is short on staff but please don’t hire individuals who can’t handle customer service jobs. I would have understood if she stated she was having a “rough day”, however she started the transaction with 0 customer service. Please handle this matter with the employee. Not acceptable at all.

I had the appointment for 12pm for my shingles vaccine and for my daughter’s covit vaccine. We had to wait an hour to get the shots. What is the point in getting an appointment if you can not serve then?

I drive a few miles extra to come to this Fry's. It's cleaner and usually stocked fairly well. Employees are nice and are very helpful. The produce is much better at this location than others nearby.
