Miners Rock Shop is a family owned business in Tempe, Arizona. It sells rocks, crystals, gemstones and handmade copper and sterling jewelry. The shop mines its own material from claims in Arizona, focusing on American gemstones like southwest turquoise, fire agate, Arizona peridot, fluorite, and Four Peaks amethyst. It is an amazing place with beautiful specimens and a very knowledgeable, kind group of people. The staff is very helpful, takes time to talk about rocks, and provides tours, including of a special fluorescent room. It is a great place for kids to see many different types of rocks and to crack open geodes. The shop is also a must for unique gifts and lapidary supplies, making visitors feel right at home among its many treasures.
What a great place to visit!! I took my 5 year old grandson and the owners took time to explain all of the different kinds of rocks. He left a rock lover and has been carrying his rocks wherever he goes. He is already planning his next trip back.

A true local treasure, lots of unique pieces invluding many made in-house, inventory is always changing too so there is always something new to see. The staff is top notch and will happily answer any questions. Ruby and Pearl the shop cats also like to be petted, just dont try and pick them up
