Stanley Richardson is a master 5 star tax professional. He is the only reason why i still go to this location. I put up with the front desk and other office staff. But this location is 1 star because of the very old receptionist woman. She knows how to answer a phone and make appointments, and that's it. She can't do or find anything in the system. I had finalized my taxes with Stanley, and he put them in cue. All i had to do was return and pay to send and file my taxes easy enough. So today, i walked in and up to the desk instead of the nice young lady i had the pleasure of working with. When i last met with Stanley, it was the much older white-haired woman who is difficult to work with and doesn't understand the computer. So after trying and waiting with the older woman. I thought i could come back another day when the young lady is in the office to take care of my payment. No hassle and easy, so i said I'll try again with someone else and left. While driving with my wife to go get lunch, the older woman had someone in that office call my wife to complain about me coming in and trying to pay what i owe HR Block. My wife had him on speaker i took the phone and told him who i was and what i tried to do in office and how i felt about things and what i was going to do for better service. He was very rude he said im sorry you feel that way, apologizing to me and telling me my feelings are wrong. Why is it bad or wrong for the customer to have difficulty with 1 employee and politely decide to deal with someone nicer and better ? The customer is wrong for that, and you say sorry you feel that way. I guess it's shame on me for trying to pay and not have hassle or inconvenience. Anyone next year, I'll try turbotax. Sorry, Stanley.
Update i wouldn't have left this review if the older lady didn't have some guy call and complain about my personal solution and feelings to my wife when we were only 2 miles away getting lunch i didn't want to ruin our day by driving back and walking in going who called my wife and lower myself to his level so i made this review and to the owner who replied im a man of my word i will no longer use any HR Block to file my taxes im going to use turbotax honestly im sad because Stanley was a pleasure and a true delight was always happy to see him every year for taxes ill be getting everyone i know to use turbotax and my wife got a call today from the nice young lady apologizing for everything and even confirmed people were rude and wasted my time because again she confirmed all i had to do was pay so ill be in to pay and settle up with her seriously they cant take your money call you to complain absolutely a joke thank you Stanley Richardson and the nice young lady working that desk

Waited about 10 minutes in the lobby and no one ever greeted me or ask if I was helped. There was 3 workers and 2 customers. Go somewhere else

I called the first time and someone answered and as I was saying hello the phone hung up, I called back again assuming it was an accident and the “professional office associate” answers the phone with a slight attitude asking how she can help me, well I asked if I could please speak with a tax expert and she said no they’re booked and then I had asked if I could come into the establishment and maybe I can get my tax question answered and she said no they don’t have time. Mind you I’m just asking a simple question to lead me into the right direction in doing my taxes and wasn’t asking for my taxes to be filed for an appointment. I just needed a tax professional to answer 1 question. As I was talking the “professional office associate” hung up on me. Very unprofessional, childish and inconsiderate of someone who is in the position to help people with these type of issues this time of year when this establishment offers these particular solutions…I get turned away because the “professional office associate” doesn’t feel like doing her job. ?? Great! Fast food establishments give better service.

Getting my taxes done was quick and painless. The guy that did my taxes was nice the only issue was i was told one price but when getting my taxes done it was going to be over 300 dollars which was a big jump from the 85 i was told but they honored the price i was told which i was very grateful for. Overall a good experience

Go to H&R Block on Rural here in Tempe. Ask for Ramez Alghazzouli. He is absolutely the best! Very professional, polite, and new the answers to all of my questions.
