I had heard of McIlvain motors from friends and acquaintances in the Porsche communities. They were very highly regarded and recommended, and they did NOT disappoint. I took an impulsive 996 purchase to them for an after purchase inspection (I should have done a PRE-purchase inspection) and had them complete everything they recommended. They provided multiple options of work based on the car’s priorities of need and they were cost conscientious. These cars can be costly. Communication was crystal clear, with pictures and videos provided during the work.
Do yourselves a favor and get a PRE-purchase inspection from McIlvain and also go stop in and meet this wonderful shop and crew. They are all happy to talk shop and were a delight to get to know. I trust their Porsche expertise completely.

Wow, Great Porsche Service. From my first phone call the service experience was awesome. The service and repairs were simply explained and the estimate was correct. The repairs are well done. Christina and Scott made me feel like a family member. Keep up the great work.

I own a 2010 Panamera S. I first tried Tech Plus Automotive, they couldnt even reinstall my front bumper correctly. The interior part was blocking the air flow to my radiator nearly overheating my car, nonetheless, I never went back to them. Then I found Murtha Motorsports. They serviced my front air suspension but didnt catch my front sensor had failed which Mcilvain found and repaired. As a customer, I constantly felt like I was annoying the owner of Murtha, I never felt valued and felt like I was a burden. When youre spending thousands upon thousands of dollars, its not complicated to just hear your customer out and treat them politely, make eye contact, return a phone call or email. When it came time to fix my Panamera timing chain stretch, I knew I had to find a new mechanic, especially since this was going to be a major and expensive operation.
I initially emailed them and Christina responded. Then Scott. I asked if I could check out the shop and meet the mechanic that would work on my car. True to their word, I showed up and Scott gave me a tour, and I met Nikita his mechanic. In a nutshell, my entire engine had to be taken out and serviced. You can imagine the level of anxiety I had. After meeting the team, I committed to the repair. From start to finish, Scott and Christina texted me and emailed me updates, pictures and videos on everything fixed, repaired, caught, etc. It was amazing.
Ive had my car back for a few weeks now and it literally feels brand new. I just drove interstate going beyond recreational speed limits, and the car was an absolute monster, which is one of the reasons I absolutely love this car. I cant speak for other Porsche shops, but this place hands down has won my business for life. I can only hope that this place exists forever.
Scott and his team really care, and if you care about your expensive car, this is exactly who you want servicing it. Hands down, no questions, they are the best. Thank you for letting me be a customer, you are all amazing and I appreciate the care and effort you put into your business.

THIS IS THE BEST PORSCHE REPAIR SHOP. I recently took my Panamera here for a few repairs that included brakes, oil change and, a few other issues I needed addressed. They were professional, kind, and showed that they cared about my car. They made sure that I was happy with my service when I got my PORSCHE back. I would recommend anyone to this Mcilvain Motors.

And with Christina at the office helm, you and your Porsche become family. McIlvain Motors is the key to my ongoing ownership of two 20 plus year old Porsches.

They did a terrific job on a pre-purchase inspection of a used Porsche Boxster for me. Scott and Christina were both terrific at communicating, and they did the inspection one day after I contacted them. Scott sent me 40+ photos of the car from every angle (including underneath) and then spent an hour on the phone going over everything. Superb experience in every way. Very, very highly recommended.

My previous service at McIlvain won my confidence and abiding trust. My 2014 Cayman 981 w/PDK & Sport Chrono needed a transmissions/brakes fluids flush. I have previously gone to Porsche dealer for everything. Met Scott and team at a PCA lunch and felt the passion as well as saw the earned Authorized Service expertise. My 981 needed a radiator fan this summer. Scott and Christina treated my tight business travel schedule with respect and concern. We found a great plan! My Cayman is back to cool and on the road in the summer heat. Fair quotes. Expedient service. Personal touch. What more can you ask for? Five Stars!

30 year PCA member- first time customer. Absolutely fantastic experience, including an email estimate for the work to be done, a shop tour since I was a first time customer, and good communication all along the way. Fantastic customer service, Christina kept me updated throughout the entire process. Family owned and operated for a long time they do things the right way and charge very reasonable rates for their work.
