I stayed here a few times and usually check in around 3 or 4 am and they always gave me an extra night. This last time I did not get that so I did not get my money's worth. The lady that helped me didn't want to give me a room because she had a system check or something.

My recent stay at the Motel 6 Scottsdale South has been nothing short of a sanctuary during an incredibly difficult week, and I cannot commend the front desk manager asinet,Ruby and the entire staff enough for their exceptional kindness and professionalism.
This past week has presented me with immense challenges. On top of dealing with a horrific and sudden death in my family, my home's air conditioning broke down amidst scorching 110-degree weather, forcing me to seek immediate accommodations. The stress has been immense, but from the moment I arrived four days ago, the front desk manager and the entire team at this Motel 6 have done everything in their power to ease my burden.
Their helpfulness and compassion have truly gone above and beyond any guest standards. They showed genuine empathy for my situation, ensuring my room was comfortable and that I had everything I needed without me even having to ask. They created an atmosphere where I felt supported and cared for, rather than adding to my stress. It's rare to encounter such understanding and dedication, especially during such trying times, and it made an immeasurable difference to my well-being.
Beyond the incredible staff, I've been so impressed by the cleanliness of the facility. Every area, from the lobby to my room, has been impeccably maintained, which speaks volumes about their commitment to guest comfort. The amenities have also been fully functional and well-kept. The laundry facilities were clean and efficient, a small but significant convenience. And even amidst my personal turmoil, the pool was a pristine and inviting oasis, offering a brief moment of respite.
The collective efforts of the compassionate front desk manager and the entire staff, coupled with the remarkably clean and well-maintained property, have transformed a challenging period into a more manageable one. I am profoundly grateful for their support and highly recommend the Motel 6 Scottsdale South to anyone seeking not just a clean and comfortable place to stay, but a truly caring environment.

During my stay I found dead ants in the bed . So makes me wonder what else would I find if I was to go looking . How ever when I told the GM who checked me out just shrugged it off like it was nothing . Oh I think not and after lodging a complaint I was told that it was up to the property to give compensation so that tells me they don't care about the guest like they say they do because no one is accountable for anything in that company or anyone working for the brand.

The staff here are very nice. For a motel 6 I have never had an unclean room. I feel very comfortable staying here now as they security on premise.

We needed a room late on a Monday night so we figured let’s go to a motel. That’s what they’re for, right? Big mistake. They charged us $200 even thought their nightly rate was $75. They took advantage knowing we were desperate. We didn’t get there until 3am and got charged almost triple so I figured we could get a later checkout so we could get some rest. WRONG! We were denied later checkout and they wouldn’t even hold onto our bags for an hour while we grabbed lunch. Paid $200 for 8 hours in a crappy room right next to a loud as hell and busy street ! Back to Hyatt and Marriott properties for us. Very disgusting service. Never had anyone deny me a noon checkout ever and I used to basically live in hotels when I was traveling for work. Don’t stay here unless you literally have no other option like we did.

I visited a few weeks ago and would not come back. The rooms were clean enough, although the bathroom was run down so it was a bit hard to tell.
However, there was so much going on all night. When I checked in there were people hanging around and loudly complaining and making a fuss, I continued to hear them while they were walking around. At about midnight I was woken up by people standing outside my door, talking about their preferred drug of choice (meth apparently!) Then around 2am an extremely drunk man was banging on a door and yelling to be let in for at least 20 minutes.
And this was all on a Thursday night! Imagine what you could get on a weekend.

One of the women working at the desk was extremely cold and didn’t seem to care about any of the customers. Tried to greet her with a smile and I was met every time with a scowl. I stayed here almost a week and not once did I have a pleasant experience dealing with the front desk.

Aurora who says she is the manager, was extremely rude to me during my business travel. When my key card timed out for the second day, she asked for my ID. She said if you have it. Who would be traveling without an ID? Then she proceeded to tell me that I have to request for the cleaners to come in on the second day. I was merely trying to find out if anyone had entered my room while the key wasn't working. When I asked her what her name was she would not tell me. She was the most rude hotelier I've ever met. Then at 8:30 am a car alarm was going on and off in the back lot for an hour. I called her at the front desk and she told me she knew about it but was unable to track it. Well here's a photo! Didnt give accurate price on room yet charged my card for a partial payment knowing I didn't have any more money and proceeded to tell me they couldn't give a refund for 5 to 7 days knowing that was all I had. Worst hotel in the valley. I would go anywhere else but here

This place is absolute trash. The area is sketchy, the staff is rude and sus, the rooms are dingy and need a facelift, and there were definitely cockroaches. I’m so disgusted.

Place is in a sketchy spot with drug deals being done at all hours. Rooms are old and gross. I would recommend anywhere but here. Manager was also extremely rude.

Don’t stay here, The hotel is dirty and unkept. The WiFi doesn’t work and the front desk admits that it goes in and out. But it was only out. Absolutely no help from the front desk.
There are better places to stay in the area. I regret booking motel6 Tempe/Scottsdale south
