The moxy is a hip, one of a kind hotel located right next to ASU. While at the Moxy parking is plentiful, and the hotel is very spacious. Downside is that the rooms do get really humid, despite having an air conditioner, and the rooms don't come with a fridge, or iron, blow dryer etc. they have a room downstairs with all that stuff. They do have a gym but half the things there were out of commission, I ended up just using the free weights. The bar is cute, but the drinks were mid at best. They have kids working the bar and they're not real mixologists like several of them mentioned lol The food was pretty good as well, although there are better places to eat in the city. Overall it was a good experience, and a fun place to stay. If you do end up visiting, I hope y'all have a great stay! Enjoy fellow yelpers!

So far so bad. This is a run down hotel with a spruced up lobby. My room is small and outdated. The toilet is broken and the phone inside my room does not work. Not a good start to a three night stay. I should've just booked at the Hilton or the Weston. I'm very surprised this is a Marriott property.

We had a great extended stay at Moxy over New Years! While I'm not new to Marriott, this was my first time staying at a Moxy, and I'm pleased to say that I would definitely consider this trendy hotel brand again. We checked in around 4 p.m. on a Friday, and immediately loved the fun and eclectic lobby and bar. There's plenty of space to spread out and work or play games, the latter of which we did a few times during our stay. There's a pool table, foozball table, old arcade games, tabletop chess and checkers ... you name it, and Moxy probably has it. Moxy has dubbed itself a "self-service" hotel, which means there's a common room on each floor that has extra pillows, towels, and toiletries for you to grab. You can also do your ironing there if you'd like - although our room did come equipped with a steamer (which I actually prefer over an iron). That said, you can still request housekeeping come and freshen up your room, which we did twice during our five night stay. The room itself was a nice size, with some unique decor and cool motion-detector LED lights beneath the bed. The bed was decently comfortable, although we did request an extra blanket on our first night. The shower was modern and updated, with both rain and detachable shower heads. While the water pressure left a lot to be desired, the hot water was abundant. The service throughout our stay was exemplary. We worked with Garreth and Keisha primarily, both of whom were extremely friendly and helpful. We even ended up in the lobby on New Year's Eve, and were treated to a champagne toast at midnight. We got our room at a good price given the time of year (ASU wasn't currently in session) - although it's worth noting that parking is $12 a night and that can add up on a longer stay. That said, you really can't beat the location of this hotel. With a CVS next door, and several hot spots in Tempe and Scottsdale just up the road, Moxy is a solid option for your next visit to AZ!

First time ever staying at a Moxy hotel and it was surprisingly super rad! Skyler at the front desk was so welcoming and fun... She definitely made the vibe of our stay great right from the start. The room was different and fun and the heated pool was epic! We went swimming on New Years Eve... who would have thought! The fries were good and the overall energy in the main lobby was fantastic. We had some time to kill before heading to the airport and luckily for us, there were a ton of things to do at Moxy between pool and the arcade games we were set. We hope to stay at more Moxy hotels in the future now... We are both 30+ years old and we felt right at home :) Thanks again for the warm welcome Skyler!

Hotel has a grungy vibe with a cool, classic feel. The rooms are spacious and the showers are 12/10. The pressure is strong and the water gets super hot. Beds are very comfortable and everything is super clean. Definately recommend staying here!!

I just checked in to this hotel. Paige gave me one of the warmest welcomes I've had at a hotel. This will be my new hotel of choice when visiting Pheonix. The rooms are nice. You can tell the building is a bit older but that doesn't show in the rooms.

If you are a single female traveler, I do not recommend it. The parking lot in the back is dark and unlit and it's a thoroughfare for shady activity. However, the hotel and staff are spectacular!Safety: Back parking lot is unlit and a little suspect!

Great Hotel! This was definitely a different vibe, but my overall experience was great! I got to sleep which is rare and the staff was great as well. This is conveniently located near the university and a whole lot of restaurants. Party central for sure!

This hotel is trying to fit a trendy niche that would be better served in a restaurant or bar or social club, definitely not in a hotel where travelers are hoping for a comfortable room with standard amenities. It was oppressive and dark. The check in is at the bar and the "vibe" is non-traditional. We will not return.

Fantastic place! If you are looking to drop your drawers and get inside this is place for you! After. 30 years of marriage I took my significant other there to rekindle what was left! We left better then then ever! The beanbags takes a punch for your unit if I don’t say so myself! Hope she stays wet!

I really want to like this hotel. The staff is cool, the decor and art are very fun and unique, but the room is not super functional. There’s no microwave or mini fridge, but instead I have a guitar and a beanbag chair. I guess that sounds fun… but I need some functionality first. I really like the industrial look, but the practicality of the folding chairs and tiny little bedside tables, really isn’t ideal. The hallways are really loud and the door to my room is opaque glass which lets the hallway light in all night, even with the shade down. I had a room on the back side, and there was a lot of undesirable foot traffic in the parking lot. It made me feel a little unsafe coming in late at night. There are a lot of things that could just use some finishing or attention. The USB plugs on the bedside table don’t work, there’s paint over the electrical outlets in the bathroom. There’s no ice machine, so you have to get ice at the bar. Like I said, I want to love it, but it’s just missing some fundamentals that could be included easily.

Had some interesting elements like a colorful and big lobby and unusual decor (old style video games in lobby and games etc) but I would not stay here again. Not good for a business stay. -Upon checking in, I found a piled up bunch of trash in the corner of the room that housekeeping somehow missed. The rest of the room had been cleaned, but I have no idea how this was missed. I called housekeeping and someone came to clear that trash. -Room was very noisy. Had someone knock loudly on my door (or perhaps next door?) at 2 am, music blaring at 4 am, and rooms have no noise insulation. -Also, despite it still being over 100 in Phoenix, my room was so cold that it was hard to sleep! This was with the AC completely turned off. Bed has no blanket or comforter at all. Just a sheet and an army looking thin grey bedspread. -Room was also very dark. Could not keep curtain open because I was on the ground floor adjacent to the pool. Pros- very close to ASU, a CVS right next door, staff were nice

Such a fun atmosphere. Love being able to enjoy a bar, the game, and a large clean room. Well done! We will be back!Food & drinks: The hotel has a signature drink, very enjoyable!

The hotel is proud of being "trendy", but for a tired traveler the dark, oppressive colors, and lack of amenities made for an uncomfortable stay. The decorating would be more at home in a bar or social club. I would not advise staying here if you are used to traditional motel comforts.
