The fact that I meet all the qualifications they somehow manage to deny me hopefully their immediate response was not due to me being black. I hate to play the race card but that’s exactly what it felt like.

Newtown CDC has given my family the opportunity to purchase our first home, everyone has helped us every step of the way, answered all of our questions. We are so thankful for every Individual at Newtown, they provided us with a home for kids to grow up in.
Newtown’s Mission: To help people improve their financial well-being while strengthening communities through education, counseling, coaching and the development and stewardship of permanently affordable homes. Newtown is recognized throughout the Phoenix Metro Area as a leading provider of homebuyer education, homeownership counseling, credit counseling, financial coaching, financial literacy education, and Individual Development Accounts. Services are provided in English and Spanish. Newtown is also well known for its Community Land Trust and the development of homes that remain permanently affordable, providing successful homeownership opportunities for generations of lower income families.
