Had a work conference here. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the pool is super awesome! There are also three separate hot tubs! Would highly recommend staying here when in Phoenix!

We stayed at this hotel for a large 100-person meeting. The meeting rooms and catering were great. The front desk gets 1-star. They're fine people who are not well-trained and not responsive. It was a two-star experience in a space that could have been 5-stars if they trained their staff better and taught people to be customer oriented.
The catering staff was excellent. They are well-trained and responsive. They went above and beyond, to not only serve good food but were responsive when our people asked for something. They also THOUGHT AHEAD about what they could do to make their service better. Nicely done.
The front desk staff needs some help.
Rooms were OK. Nothing special. Noisy. Too spread out. Could have better housekeeping.
In addition, they billed my credit card without sending a receipt. I have no idea what these charges are for. Poor management and terrible customer service.

I have been there a few times. All were amazing until October 11-13th . I was by myself in my room in the shower and a male worker just let himself in! I was mortified!!!! When I called the front desk all the manager said was if I would like 20% off of a spa treatment! I will never go back there again!!! Sad too because the place is really beautiful.

Great resort. Am a big fan of hills and hiking so I really liked how the resort flowed over the terrain.
The rooms were nicely sized. USB and power plugs in the right places. TV allows you to log into Netflix which was a nice tough.
Only knock was that it was difficult to find the stairs to go up or down.

Great getaway. No snack vending machines or snacks at check-in desk. Had to leave the property to get snacks, so bring yours!
Good food. Nice staff. Great atmosphere. Wonderful pool and spas.

This review is for their conference facility only as I didn’t stay in the hotel but went there for a conference. Spacious meeting rooms though they got too cold for me at times. There are areas to sit, work and plug your devices. Restrooms were clean. Drinks , refreshments and meals were good- loved their breakfast juices . I also got to eat at their lounge. Service was great and it was nice to sit and relax and look outside.
Safety: Secluded hotel - felt very safe

Rooms being renovated so limited openings, had to change rooms due to smoke smell. Nice pool, food and small bar ok. Isolated at the butte so no options for dining/stores.

This resort is going thru a much needed major renovation of rooms. We stayed in a room that would be upgraded at a later date. It is not set up for today's use of many USB's. We didn't have any for our use in this room.
Rooms: Needs upgrading. Which is being done at this time.

Crazy great deal. For $190 a night for this much fun and for clean, decent rooms this is a steal. Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at The Buttes is the best resort in the entire Phoenix area. 5 star.
