Tess at the print counter will waste your time.stood in pickup line for 15 mins. Random lady walks up to the counter and she immediately helps her like there’s not a line of people waiting to pick something up that were there before her. Idk, just frustrating when youre trying to quickly pick something up lol

They had a chair that I wanted at a price that i wanted. That is the only reason I went to a staples. The store was clean enough and everything was tidy .

I had a bizarre experience today that defied logic. I had two Amazon returns, they were bed comforters. I packed them both separately into the plastic bags they came in, and used a box to carry them into the store (Amazon instructed no box needed for the returns, I just used a box to carry them in the store).
Brought to the store associate, and instantly without even trying the man said there's no way he can fit my comforters in a shipping box. I said you have three empty boxes in back of you that could fit double the comforters I have, and this is where Amazon returns go?
He takes one comforter out, tries to jam it in a box that was already full, and said see there's no way it will fit. I said dude, you have three empty boxes right next to that one, why would you try to put it in a full box? He said sorry, that's our policy, no way we will fit your items. I reiterated, you literally have three empty boxes, you're saying its against policy to start a new box? He said nope I'm not arguing with you not happening. I told him this was idiocy, is this a joke?
*No I'm not exaggerating, he literally told me its against policy to ship my items because it would require putting it in a new box. lol. There were multiple boxes lined up for Amazon returns, and the only thing he tried was pushing my comforter into a full box.*
On my way out, he mocked me by laughing out loud for walking toward the entrance door rather than the exit door. I turned around and called him an idiot and unprofessional. Like, what the hell? Who does that to customers?
Called Amazon, they said they'd never heard of someone not accepting returns and they weren't understanding why they were refusing. He said to speak to the manager and that he would speak over the phone if needed.
I talk to the manager (Laurie I think?) in a diff part of the store, and without even seeing my items she also said they wouldn't fit in a box. I'm like, how not? You could fit many comforters in any box that I saw you have? Amazon intervened and said Staples is paid by Amazon to accept all returns and there's no reason a comforter wouldn't fit inside the large boxes that Amazon supplies to Staples.
Manager told me to bring my items back into the store, where she said there's no way the box I carried them in would fit in one of their boxes. I told her, 1) this is a no-box return, and 2) why would you try to fit a box inside another box?, and 3) this is only a box I used to carry them in store. She was being rude and disrespectful for honestly no reason, I was so confused.
She grabs a new box (finally), puts one of the comforters in, and I saw you could've easily fit 4 comforters in it...lol...I honestly felt like I was on a different planet. It made no sense.
Then, she says "one of these comforters isnt even in a packaged bag so you'll have to get a bag to put it in", and I go "yes it was, your associate ripped the bag open trying to stuff it into a full box?". She grabs out a bag that was way too small and commanded me to put it in, to where I said there's no way it would fit and I already had it in a bag beforehand. She was just being mean for no reason. Finally she processed my return like should've been done from the start.
So after all this, I said "so what was the deal here? Like I'm so confused, why was there a fuss about any of this? You had boxes, like I was telling you, the whole time that could easily fit these returns in them. No "sorry for the inconvenience" or "we were wrong"? You ruined my afternoon for how you both acted, this made no sense."
She had no answer and just gave me my receipt.
I'm still trying to find a logical understanding of what happened, and there isn't one.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but unfortunately, the level of customer service has consistently declined. Despite several employees being present, only one person is typically assisting the line, and their pace leaves much to be desired. There’s little to no acknowledgment when customers walk in or while waiting to be helped. I would expect more attention to efficiency and customer experience, especially given the years of patronage. It’s disappointing to see this lack of prioritization for service. With OfficeMax closing across the street, I had hoped for a better alternative.

Shane is awesome. He helped me with TSA pre check. Four stars because there were two people who didn’t acknowledge anyone in the line

Terrible service at the print center this evening. I asked the employee for help printing 150+ page PDF document. I wanted to edit the PDF and change the font. The employee quickly advised me to use the self service machine. It's always nice when the employee asks a few more questions before pointing to a machine.

Excellent service @ the Tempe store on Broadway and rural. Laurie helped me when I bought my chair, I tried to sign up for staples rewards but my phone died.she said I could come back and get the coupon after I was able to sign up. I went back the next day was helped by Brittany and Keiunta and Jesus. They were great, they helped walk me through signing up for rewards and was patient and helpful. Excellent customer service! I will be a loyal customer because of this experience.

I needed a 1-page, two-sided color document printed on thicker paper. They said it would be ready before 1pm the following day. I only need one copy, but okay that's fine.
When I return to pick up, the document is two pages, one sided each. The same associate tells me that's what I asked for but corrects herself when she reviews the invoice. She reprints immediately, but the headings are now uneven. I later determined that my original .docx is correct, but somehow their exported .pdf is not. She suggests I recheck my document and come back later.
I triple check that my file is not the problem and return at 4pm the same day to try again but this time with MY exported .pdf. A new associate helps me, I explain what happened, and she tells me that there are 12 orders in the queue. The earliest it can be ready is when they open tomorrow. That's no good - I need it at 6am, they open at 9. I can tell she's frustrated, but she takes my USB, prints the doc on the wrong type of paper, charges me an "expedited" fee, and tells me to pay at the front.
I should just buy a printer. 1/5 do not recommend.

I had to make an unexpected trip because we ran out of supplies at work, and Phil was so helpful! He not only helped me find exactly what I was looking for, but I got it at a great price. If you need something here, ask for Phil!
