If you have pet Rx, try Chewie first. They at least will fill the Rx in a timely manner so your pet doesn't experience withdrawals. I don't know about other Walgreens locations, but this one is WHOLLY incompetent on so many levels. My dog takes a simple triglyceride medication...not a narcotic, not a controlled substance...just a simple little pill that helps him process fat and live a little longer without gut pain. But now, he's going through withdrawals because this location lies and gaslights me and says the vet never called it in or that they have called the vet repeatedly to get clearance. The vet says they have called each time and even showed me the call logs. This last time they even spoke to a tech at Walgreens. Yet, the pharmacy would not fill it. I went Sunday and the tech supposedly checked the computer and lied and said the vet never called. So I had to take the time, go pick up a paper Rx, take it in, make sure they saw it had 3 refills. They said, okay, by tomorrow...ahh, but my dog now goes the 5th night without the meds. But just now, they text the Rx is ready...not the new one I brought in, but the old one that has been held up a week. Seriously, these people or their computer system are ridiculous. Either that or they simply hate dogs. So go to Chewies if you can. Sadly, Chewies doesn't carry this Rx. I've also contacted Amazon Pharmacy, but sadly they don't fill pet Rx at this time. I don't know, maybe I'll try Safeway. No CVS...they're actually worse than Walgreens! ?

I have been coming to this Walgreens, since I was a boy. The woman Manager Oriana in Pharmacy is rude and disrespectful. Oriana needs some serious training. I am so disappointed. I do not k ow how she is a manager and acts the way she does. It's just disgusting.

I called today with a problem that the insurance company wouldn't help me with because it is for my father. I asked the insurance rep if she could give me guidance IN GENERAL as to what a person would do to resolve a specific hypothetical issue [a Rx from a new specialist doctor who prescribed a medication that I already take but for 2x/day vs 1x/day was denied and I also just refilled a 90 day supply a couple weeks ago (90 pills at 1x/day with 2 refills still available) before I got the new Rx from a new doctor at 2x my current dosage, meaning I can use my current Rx, but I will run out about 45 days before the next approved renewal date based on the current Rx, so it will be declined, but the pharmacy cannot put the new Rx through because I have approval for the 1x per day and allowing the 2x/day Rx will overlap with the 1x/day, ultimately requiring the ins company to pay for 3 pills/day]. Anyway, instead of helping me, I was told by United Healthcare that my dad had to call or be on the call with me before she could say anything because of HIPPA laws. So I called Walgreens, and the female I spoke with was exceptionally helpful and told me how to manage this situation, which should have been easily explained to me by the insurance rep with absolutely zero HIPPA violations. I just wanted to commend the pharmacy rep who quickly and easily explained the process and was very pleasant while doing so! She listened, understood and provided a solution very quickly without divulging any protected information. Walgreens should make sure they keep her!

This review is for the pharmacy staff, near the fry's/Trader Joe's location. Love these guys! I have to pick up meds at the drive through about 2-3 times per week. The main young guy that works the drive through is ALWAYS super nice, professional, and efficient. Another lady, dark hair/glasses, is always helpful to us as well and super sweet, patient, and gets me everything I need. One of the pharmacists is super nice and patient as well. They call me and update me of issues. When I call them they resolve my issue and give me realistic expectations, wait time, medicine fulfillments, etc. They always take good care of me, I don't talk to them too much but I'm sure they would recognize me since I come through so often for life saving medication. THANK YOU PHARMACY STAFF. I know you guys work hard and have helped me a lot personally w my orders. Some people complain that Walgreens is a little more expensive for meds, but I think this location is worth it because of they awesome staff they have. Keep it up.

Came in there the other day to get a prescription filled. You can tell they were very busy, and doing the best they could being short staffed. The woman behind the counter Missy was amazing. She her demeanor and her ability to multitask was incredible to watch. Only reason I give it a 4 is because they are short staffed.

They always mess something up because my insurance is my maiden name but my meds get called in under my married name. I’ve never had an issue before until I switched to this location.

This pharmacy location is the worst. Every month I get an email that my prescription is ready. When I go to pick it up, not ready. Today I went to get a different prescription. again not ready. Come back in 15 min. Back in 30 and still had to wait another 30 while I was out back at the end of the line. Transferring all of my business.

Veteran walk in to get a flu shot. Told me they were backed up, 1 person waiting, no one in line. Referred me to another Walgreens that "has more pharmacists because we're swamped". Not impressed with this store. Michael Murdock, USNAVY Veteran

This has to be the worst Walgreens in the area. They can never get their act together and lie about everything. On multiple occasions they have tried to tell me my doctor never called in a prescription, but having dealt with this before my doctor actually had me wait and gave me the fax confirmation as proof because they were sick of it being blamed on them. When presented with this fact the girl behind the counter went silent, said hmmm and proceeded to talk to the pharmacist. 15 minutes later they amazingly had my prescription ready. I guess they found it lol. For common medications they have started supposedly filling them at their warehouse which makes no sense at all. It isn't because they were out of my meds, I was told that that was "just the way they were doing it now". This is the third time I've waited over a week after re-filling my prescriptions for the "warehouse" to send my common bp and thyroid medications and when it doesn't come in and I'm out of meds I have to insist I need my medication. Every time1 they instantly fill it on the spot because they have the meds there to start with, but not without acting like I am putting THEM out. I'm done with the drama, lies, and unreasonable waits. I'm transferring my prescriptions to the CVS near me. I can't imagine it being any worse than the Guadalupe and McClintock Walgreens.

This is for only the Walgreens on Guadalupe & McClintock, Tempe, AZ because I love the two Walgreens nearby. But this location just did something I need to post. My elderly mother with Covid came it to pick up Covid medicine and asked the male Pharmacist on duty on Monday afternoons taunted my mother after she asked him for cough drops because she didn't want ti come inside and expose employees and customers but he told her to go home call in the cough drop then come back inside ti pick up and she reminds him she has Covid as she's there to pick up the anti viral and he just smiled in a taunting way and told her to call it in. This baffles me that during a pandemic that a medical professional (and I say professional in a loose way) would suggest a sick elderly woman do this. Will NEVER use this location again as the pharmacist there is a fool and is not helping to prevent the spread of a virus that is killing people. Mind blown please get a pharmacist that cares about people so this guy stops ruining the Walgreens brand (which by the way is myself & my family's favorite) I hope that guys feels real good about himself after making a sick elderly woman with Covid cry and expose others.

I had a pleasant experience today at this Walgreens in the Cosmetics department. Jenifer the Beauty Consultant was very helpful and her customer service was great! I recommend you see her if you have any questions about make up and skincare!

First the pharmacy keeps me on hold for a half hour just to tell me they have nothing from my doctor. Then I am able to reach my doctor right before they close so they can send it over for me; my doctor is on call and I don't blame him. He's great. There was information that I did need to clarify for my script, but it was easily done and the people working in the pharmacy were purposely confusing and difficult. I have my boyfriend picking up my nausea medication for me because I work 1-9. I am very sick still at 6.5 months so I really need this medication to work and sleep for work. My boyfriend was there and clarified any info. I'm not sure the actual specifics on what and what not my insurance does cover, but they made it seem like bc my insurance wouldn't cover it, that paying out of pocket wasn't an option. Or switching it over to somewhere with a good rx coupon. They made it seem like to him I would have to wait till the 14th to get anything. The cherry on top would have to be them having the worst communication skills ever about something someone needs literally just to live at the moment. It took way longer to figure this ordeal out because they were 100% misleading and unhelpful. He's picked up my script for me when there's been issues tons of times and it's never been this bad. When I was calling while he was there the phone said the automated recording every five seconds I was just on the line; it does not do that normally. It was very weird and the person who puts energy into being passive aggressive at work like that with people's medications in their hands needs mental help.

They never have your perscription ready on time. If you call the pharmacy they put you on hold forever. Then when they answer the phone they just say that they can't hear you and hang up. So useless.
