The AC Hotel by Marriott Tucson Downtown is a pretty new, modern hotel with a cozy, upscale environment and very nice decor. It is in a perfect location, right in the middle of everything and the heart of downtown Tucson, ideal for accessing nightlife, restaurants, and bars. The hotel is super clean and the rooms are a good size, although some guests note they are quite small. The service is described as excellent with nice staff, and the bartenders receive particular praise for being awesome, super cool, attentive, and making the best cocktails. However, the location depends on what you're looking for. The area is super noisy with a lot of downtown nightlife and music from nearby venues, which can be quite loud until late, especially on weekends. Additionally, there can be early morning construction noise. For some, this creates a disappointing and not quiet at all atmosphere, even on weekdays, making sleep difficult. Other guests did not have any issues with noise and found it perfect. A notable drawback for some is the beds, which are described as really, really firm. Self-parking in the hotel garage is available and convenient, though it carries a daily fee.
