“The hotel is conveniently near the campus. Depending what you have to do if it's another building You can walk across the street and go to any of the campus buildings. There's sufficient amount of food around the area so you may not need the vehicle unless you have to go somewhere else in the city traffic. And road construction can make it challenge.Overall the hotel is very nice.”

“This is a great hotel. Has a fridge and microwave. Swimming pool. Nice tub and shower. No breakfast. The parking is a tight squeeze though. Food and shopping is all close by to this location. Take our service dog with no issues. The rooms are a good size and the beds are super comfy. Will be coming back here next time I come back to my home town to visit family”

“Ann was the on duty desk person when we checked in, she was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious, looked pretty new. Sound insulation between rooms could be better. Other staff like the breakfast team were smiling and pleasant. The breakfast was varied and ok.

“Go ahead and book this hotel you won’t regret it.
The first thing I loved was how comfortable and safe we felt arriving late at night. My family and I arrived around 11 PM after a long day of traveling, and the parking lot was well-lit and set away from the busy street, with an Enterprise car rental location right in front of the hotel. We were also able to get a first-floor room upon request, which was really convenient. The room itself was beautiful and modern. I especially loved the bathroom it had such a modern, home-like feel that honestly made it feel more like an apartment than a hotel room.
The beds were incredibly comfortable and were exactly what we needed after 10 hours of driving. I also loved that there were outlets right by the beds, making it super easy to charge all of our phones and devices. Also the delicious breakfast! Everything was delicious, and the waffles were definitely a favorite. It was so nice to have a good breakfast before getting back on the road.
I’ve stayed at several hotels in Tucson near the airport, and this one is by far my favorite! From the cleanliness and comfort to the friendly accommodations and great breakfast, my family and I had such a wonderful experience. We paid about $94 total with taxes and fees, and honestly, it was completely worth it. From now on, this will definitely be the hotel I book for myself and my family whenever we’re in Tucson! Highly recommend!”

“handle on the toilet was missing when we walked into the room but kayleigh (sorry if I misspelled it) helped us switch to a new room right away and just down the hall so it wasn’t a hassle moving our stuff. guest laundry was also very convenient and the rooms were overall nice and clean. i’m not a big breakfast eater but my parents really enjoyed it especially the waffle makers. we probably won’t be back any time soon but if we are we’d gladly stay here again. one of the best stops we had along our cross country road trip”

“Spent a weekend here while visiting for a 90th birthday celebration.
Front desk staff is friendly and welcoming. They made checking in and out very easy. Grounds are clean and organized. Pool area is clean and well stocked with towels. The outdoor shower was nice to rinse off before heading up to the room. It’s located near groceries and the ever wonderful Bookmans. There are other well appointed stores to shops including a Trader Joe’s for groceries. Restaurants nearby were varied and interesting.
Onsite bartender for happy hour was friendly, and so were the guests we met.
Complimentary breakfast was well stocked and offered many options for breakfast, including a made to order omelet. I’m not vegetarian but there were many vegetarian offerings for those who want that.
The rooms, however, were just a bit run down with stained carpet, chips in the paint and worn furniture. The beds were heavenly comfortable and provided great rest.
I definitely would return and recommend to friends and family.”

“Staying at Lodge on the Desert was a truly unique experience—unlike any typical hotel stay. The setting, atmosphere, and overall design make it feel special and memorable, with a charm that really stands out from standard accommodations.
While the answering service was frustrating and difficult to get through, I ended up booking through a third-party website without much trouble, and I’m glad I did. Once I arrived, the experience completely made up for that initial inconvenience.
The property itself is incredible—peaceful, well-kept, and full of character. If you’re looking for something different from the usual hotel experience, this is absolutely worth it. Despite the hiccup with communication, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.”

“This is a great affordable hotel option. It used to be a motel that has been renovated to be new and funky to match the Tucson vibe. Very nice rooms with comfortable beds. The pool and bar/restaurant is nice and offers good options. We stayed here match times and the staff is super friendly and the rooms are always very clean. It's a little off the beaten path but closer enough to downtown Tucson and U of A that it makes it an option.”

“I deeply enjoyed my stay. Like a few people have mentioned, it is hard to find the check-in desk, especially at night. If you go where you expect to find it, underneath the awning like most hotels would have it, you're nearly there. If you park there, instead of walking to the doors underneath the awning, the check-in desk is just on the side of the building through a single door, instead of the big double doors.
The hotel has many buildings, and the inside of mine was basically a full apartment. I've been in many extended-stay type hotels for a week, and this was different and much better. A huge living room and open kitchen with a wide island. Full size refrigerator, oven, microwave, blender, etc. There was a full washer/dryer in the unit even. The staff were very helpful, and would get back to me within a few minutes by text which I found very convenient. They would pick you up in a golf cart in front of your room to take you to the front desk building where the restaurant is. I was at a conference at the big JW Marriot, which had a shuttle back and forth to this hotel, and the two hotels communicated very well to have this streamlined. Someone mentioned they only could use a certain gate to the pool because they came through a timeshare. I could only use a certain gate because I was a hotel guest. It seems they just have two gates and control access through multiple types of booking through this.
If I ever came back to this area I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The landscaping and views are gorgeous, it is very comfortable”

“Nicely appointed ADA rooms with a roll in shower without a step. The location is good for the north of Tucson. The entrance is a little awkward if coming from the south, having to do a u turn immediately followed by a tight right turn down a slope. Bed was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was efficient and replaced the towels quickly. The price was excellent.”

“Flew into town for a quick layover and it was such a great experience! The hotel was clean, the beds were beyond comfy and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! I wish we could stay longer! They had a shuttle to and from the airport in a scheduled pickup. The pool is more of a lazy river setup, but clean and fun regardless. There’s tons of restaurants walking distance to the area and so many things to do nearby! Hopefully this is always the assigned hotel for my company whenever we are in town because it was awesome!”

“Cute overall decor. In room coffee service was instant coffee but still appreciated. Park your car at valet and go - so much in walking distance. Rooftop pool. Simple but adequate gym. Can't incline on treadmill due to low ceilings. Rooftop bar offers a nice cocktail list. Rooms could've been vacuumed better. You're in the college vibe. Friendly staff.”
