Fake US history where they tell you US won all wars when in reality the US armed forces always lost and even got defeated by Vietnamese farmers fighting with bamboo sticks

Needs some work. Not open. But cool to at least try and view the history. Nice little park with a pond.

Was disappointed to find the museum closed. My great-grandparentswere some of the original homesteaders of the area. My grandfather was born in the fort hospital. Hope that someday soon it will be open again.

Went March 19, 2022 for the living history pop up. Museum in shambles. Displays torn apart ,display pieces gone ,maybe renovating?.......Very, very sad. Building being adobe block just melting away, so is the kitchen building. Kitchen building locked so no access. Re-enactors there in costumes, soldiers, band, weapons displays, active blacksmith display,so that was interesting...... Heard someone say there's been a bond passed for refurbishment and remediation of the museum buildings. Sure hope so. So glad to be able to go inside even just the one building, even in it's state of upheavel. Ft. Lowell Park and Museum is a very special place with so much history in one place. On a side note. If you drive around in the Ft. Lowell neighborhood there are ruins of the old school house, and also homes from that time period, still in use. We find it to be a very special area.

Good place to learn about local history, they can also tell you we're all the museums are in Tucson maybe even even in Arizona, and believe it or not a small donation can go very far, and there is more than meets the eye just talk have a conversation and you will learn a lot ask questions no question is ever too big or too small...

The last thing I'll do is celebrate men who watched for "Apaches resisting confinement to their reservation". All I will say is, without the infantry/weapons/guns, if it was just toe to toe... one on one... in a good old fashioned street fight (the way it should be)... they wouldn't have been able to take the land away, enslave the people who originate from it, and socially confine a group of people simply for their traditions/beliefs. DISGUSTED by the fact that this place exists. Celebrating cultural pimps who take from the earth, take from others, take from the land... is what I won't do. And you shouldn't either. If you've got to uphold one race of people by tearing down another, count me out! DISGUSTED. DISGUSTED. DISGUSTED.

Despite the signs they still have up this has been closed since April. The buildings (behind chain link fence). Are still there with signs and places but the fire ants were pretty prevalent. My 12 year old thought the park and the green duck pond was only a "meh" ( he is a museum lover)
