Fry's Food and Drug is a very busy location with a great variety and plenty of selection, offering thousands of quality food and household products. Customers note good prices, fresh produce, meats, seafood, dairy, and flowers, with a good pharmacy. The food is always fresh. Customer service is generally good, and employees can be very kind. However, the experience can be mixed. The parking lot and entrance get crowded, and leaving can be an issue due to traffic. Some shopping carts are hard to push or janky. The self checkout often receives negative feedback. While many fellow shoppers are great, there is sometimes a rough crowd. Some shoppers report encounters with other customers acting snobby, nasty, angry, or openly offended, which can make people feel targeted. Isolated incidents, like being incorrectly accused of not paying for items, have also occurred. Despite this, many appreciate the store's selection and fresh offerings, with some considering it the best location in Tucson.
Fry's at Grant & Swan is usually a good experience if you go there at off peak times. They still do a good job when it's busy but there's just plain more people then. Marilyn, Carlos, & Ruby are just some the hardworking folks I know by name but this store has a lot of other helpful staff!
