Lodge On The Desert is a charming, historic hotel with beautiful grounds and a central location close to everything. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, preserving the property's historical integrity and feel. The on-site Cielos Restaurant is excellent, offering gourmet and delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. The staff is consistently noted as friendly, competent, and attentive to detail, contributing to a very friendly atmosphere. The resort-style property features a beautiful pool, though some guests noted it could be warmer. However, significant disappointment is expressed regarding the elimination of the complimentary breakfast, now charged at approximately $16-$17 per person. This change is viewed as a major lost perk, leading some guests to dine elsewhere. Some inconsistencies in service are mentioned, including sporadic room service, rushed breakfast service near closing time, and an isolated issue with poolside food quality. A rare misunderstanding with pre-payment was also noted. Despite these points, many guests highly recommend the lodge for its charm, comfortable rooms, excellent restaurant, and wonderful staff.
An oasis in central Tucson. Wonderful service, great restaurant and amenities. The staff couldn't be finer.

Location was a short drive from everything. The mattress was a firm pillow top and made for some of the best sleep.
