We had a wonderful stay here. The front desk, cleaning, and event staff were all exceptionally pleasant and easy to work with. The facility is well maintained, and they are quick to fix any room issues. The restaurant (Cielo's) is excellent and convenient for us. We utilized one of the meeting rooms for dinners and the staff there worked hard to make it a special evening for everyone. The location is also really great, and is centrally located to a lot of destinations we visited.Thank you!!

This place is a hidden gem! It’s an old school revival mini resort and my family enjoyed our stay. Complimentary breakfast was better than most places and the bar and dinner service at Cielos was good. The rooms that were upgrades or spa deluxe rooms are the best. I had an issue with my door for my first basic king room and they upgraded me to a better room for the inconvenience. I wasn’t expecting the upgrade but it was very much appreciated. Also, my family and I arrived 2 hours early and they let us do an early check in. The outdoor pool and hot tub are wonderful. You will not regret staying here!

We spent three nights at the lodge while exploring the Tucson area. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and tidy. The included breakfast was a tasty way to start a day of exploring. Definitely recommend the lodge on the desert.

Charming Lodge offering large rooms and very good breakfast.Establish your room rates at booking since they vary from those posted on the Web. Our extended stay resulted in receiving a surprise bill at checkout and no AARP discount was applied though promised. While we were pleased with our accommodations, the final Billing transaction left us with a "bad taste".Rooms: The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Minor issues reported were promptly addressed and corrected.Food & drinks: The included breakfasts were a plus, daily offering a bit of variety. The fresh fruit medley was especially appreciated. Service was good.

I want to say thank you to all the staff, especially Katelyn and management for accommodating me during a difficult time. I was there visiting my grandmother who is not well. Katelyn, booked a room up front for easy access in and out of property. My room was nice and comfy, staff was friendly and accommodating to my needs and schedule. It really is a beautifully well kept property, with lights, great for walks, and pet friendly. The complimentary breakfast wasn't just your standard hotel breakfast, the food was amazing and made with love! I look forward to returning there in the future on a happier note, thank you everyone!

We had our wedding hotel block at Lodge on the Desert and it was a total dream! Gisela was one of the nicest people I have ever worked with and was caring, responsive and so kind as we were planning our wedding weekend for our several out of town guests. My now-husband and I stayed in the Casita Suite during our wedding weekend and it was nothing short of magical! All of the rooms at Lodge on the Desert were gorgeous and spacious and we loved getting to run into our wedding guests at the free breakfast (delicious!) and by the pool. We even ended up having our "first look" at Lodge on the Desert before going to our wedding venue and our pictures turned out so beautifully. This hotel is gorgeous and the staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you again Gisela and all!!

Great hotel! We were so surprised to find such a beautiful hotel at a reasonable rate. The staff is very nice. The layout of the hotel is peaceful with nice paths throughout. The room was better than many upscale hotels. Our room was large with a gas fireplace.Breakfast was included and was good.If I had know the hotel was this nice, I would have stayed longer. I plan to be back and highly recommend staying here!

It's my favorite place to stay while I'm in Tucson! I arrived at 4:30 am and they had my room waiting for me. Beautiful atmosphere and clean , amazing rooms. I feel safe and comfortable. I love their customer service, very friendly and professional. They also have an amazing breakfast included. I highly recommend this place!Rooms: The rooms are decorated in the southwestern style and are very spacious. The beds are perfect. I fell asleep as so as I hit the pillow.Safety: They have a security guard named Patrick. He is the kind of man you instantly appreciate and I felt safe arriving at 4:30am. He personally escorted me to my room. Thanks Patrick.

This place is amazing. Our room was clean and the best sleep I had in a long time. It did not even feel like we were staying in a hotel. It was so comfortable. In the morning we found a injured owl. Manager Michael came out and helped us and took the guy to safety. He was on his time and took the time out. This place is great. Wonderful food, great rooms and wonderful management.

Very unsafe as we found our room already open when we got to the door. We found the door didn't close all the way leaving it open and unsecured. Told staff about it and was told the door stuck open due to the heat. It is Tucson AZ they should have doors able to withstand the heat. Reserved the room because it had a fireplace. Of course the fireplace didn't work, and of course the staff didn't seem to care as they told us they turned the fireplace off during the summer. We changed due to door not closing all the way and was told it was a less expensive room. Got to the room and we had to fightthe door to get open. Every time we used the bathroom we heard a loud whining noise which made it hard to use the bathroom at night because of how loud the noise was. Went for breakfast and waited for the host to seat us, after waiting for several minutes we sat ourselves. Got some plates, got food from the buffet and had staff come to us angry with us for seating ourselves. Watched as others touched all the plates looking for a clean one due to all the water stains on the plates and realized that our plates were touched by others who may or may not have washed their hands before touching the plates. Could not find staff to refill our drinks. At checkout we told the front desk staff what we felt and Sebastian laughed at us. Then we were charged for the original room. Would definitely not recommend this hotel.

This resort is located very centrally in Tucson, and has some of the cutest old buildings. I really liked the layout -- small units were grouped together, forming a intimate atmosphere. Rooms are nice, while showing some signs of use, well thought out and cute. It seems that they are constantly looking to maintain the premises, which adds to the well cared atmosphere. However, I had a bit of a more conflicting experience with the service. The staff can be a bit too direct. Housekeeping decided to come in early on weekend morning, and was not willing to take a no for an answer. Similarly, no love from the folks running breakfast. The place had a water cut at the time when most guests would be looking to clean up and shower -- no proactive updates, and staff was very annoyed to update visitors when asked.

This place has a great atmosphere, beautiful grounds, well appointed rooms and very friendly staff. Sebastian and Kaitlin were great when we arrived and allowed us to check in early and start enjoying the awesome pool. Alex shared the history of this place and Wes at the bar was very attentive. Overall a fantastic place.Food & drinks: Delicious

I love this gem of a hotel tucked away in Tucson. Beautiful grounds and pool, nice bar and decent restaurant. Rooms are big and quiet. The only downside this trip was that the shower was very mildewed. Otherwise the room was Immaculate.Food & drinks: The Tucson Ranch Water cocktail is delightful! Great happy hour!

This place is great. It's a bit of time machine, as it reflects the type of stay which brought folks to the desert in the 40's and 50's, but with just the right degree of modernization. Great charm and character, but also a really first class stay. Good location as well.
