Lead bike tech guy was super arrogant . Did not take apart item for inspection. Did not explain his rational on service, simply used a quick visual analysis. When I asked about the problem, his attitude was like, in an arrogant manner, how dare you question me, I'm a professional. NOT Very friendly at all, as an ex-bike mechanic and shop manager myself, his attitude is the reason newbies into cycling tend to avoid bike shops, and that's the reason I went to REI because I didn't want to goto a high end bike shop.But...I proceeded to take my part to a high end bike shop, and the mechanic sat me down and did a tear down explaing everything in the process at my side. The tech used proper tools and spot lighting and walked me through each peice of the inspection. When I asked him about my specific concern, with objective data, he told me two alternative reasons for the discrepancies and tried to find a new version of the part to show differences. Very professional..go to a pro shop for your bike needs people.

We have been dedicated REI customers. During our hike today my well loved boots ripped apart we stopped in to get another already knew what I wanted went to the clerk at 5 mins till closing, and am told they will not go get anything from the back as they are closed. Literally 5 minutes later the page for "the time is now 6 o'clock the store is now closed please make your way to the front checkouts." All i could say to him was oh i guess your watch is a bit fast huh. We live over an hour from this area but I will not be returning ever again.

The most ridiculous store! Hard to find anyone to help you. The line at the register was about six people, yet the two people working the register were small talking to every customer for way too long!I was charged more for the item and after I came back I was told that the price went up. It wasn't on sale or anything, regularly priced item. I had to explain the person at the register that this is wrong, they were very confused ,it seems .I would give this store zero stars!

Not sure how they do it. Even with 40% off sales their products are still overpriced….When they put the REI label on a $9.99 item they feel it’s worth $29.99. Well I know they are struggling financially, however there merchandise/ marketing teams are out of touch with the consumer. Not sure how much longer they will survive.

I always get so excited when I walk into the REI store located at the Tucson Mall on Wetmore. The moment you enter the establishment your eyes feast on some of the most incredible outdoor gear one could ever dream of. Just being in the presence of such a remarkable store will have your mind hiking, climbing and kayaking over landscapes that dreams are made of.My visit to the Wetmore store yesterday was no exception! The sales associate Anna helped me pick out an expedition grade Gortex jacket that is certain to keep me warm and dry over my technical layers. She is not only an expert in the wide selection of technical fabrics designed to make your outdoor adventures exceptional, but she is also an obvious outdoor enthusiast who’s passion for the sport adds to the shopping experience. The store carries everything one could want from the casual half day hiker, to the full on expedition to the top of the High Sierra’s or Mt. Ranier! From Kayaks to crampons and everything in between!Do swing by the REI Co-op located at the Tucson Mall on Wetmore Road. If you’re not already an outdoor adventure enthusiast, you will be shortly after you arrive!

REI staff are always friendly and professional. I worked with Paul in the bike shop to set up a tune-up for my bike I haven't ridden in several years he got me all squared away and walked me through how to get my membership renewed to save some cash, as well has ordered some additional parts to add on to the bike.

Fantastische winkel. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Ze verkopen kwaliteit. Verder heeft REI een geweldig retourbeleid. Wij brachten onze niet gebruikte bearspray terug en kregen een volledige refund. Klasse!

I’ve been to many REI Locations, and this is by far my favorite. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! They are experienced and are always able to answer any questions I may have about the products they sell. I’ve been to this location multiple times, and it’s always been a positive experience! Organized, clean store with a well stocked inventory.

Clean store with friendly and helpful staff. Lost 3 stars because of a bike mechanic’s incompetence, they removed my rear wheel to better answer some questions I had, and when they put it back on the chain wasn’t on the derailleur. When I left the store and got on my bike, the derailleur got bent and now I can’t use my low gears without the chain jumping all over the place! I am on a bike tour, and depend on those low gears. Never again will an REI bike shop touch anything more than a spoke!
