“I would say I am a carne seca connoisseur. I just happened to stop by because my favorite meat market was sold out. I am very glad I stopped by because the carne seca is world class. Im a fan of carne seca con chile and I purchased about a half pound. Did not disappoint. First off they use fresh ground chiltepin which packs a kick and actually sticks to the meat. Most places use the standard red pepper flakes that usually fall off and create no real heat. Second the carne seca had a great crunch to it. Third it had the perfect amount of salt. I love the more fatty cuts of meat and the carne seca had a good amount of fat to it. Overall this might be the best Carne Seca in Tucson.”

“Deli woman was very friendly and I picked up some chicken thighs for lunch at a very good deal $5. I had garlic mashed potatoes at home and applesauce to make a nice meal. That was the only thing I purchased. Walked around the store for a while just pricing out things. So much of what was on sale seemed to be marked up to be marked down. Planning meals doesn't leave much for extras. It seems in retirement I have more time than money, so the grocerystore is more of a social event and more like a library, ( I read labels ) looking and comparing prices . Having friendly and knowledgeable employees make the trip worth it. 😌”

“I dont even know where to begin about Lee Lee's. I have been coming here for over 10yrs. From being a young girl learning how to cook in my parents food cart to in our own kitchen. My mom brought me here the first time anc I nearly froze, but I loved every second. The emmense amount of international culinary choices is insane! The prices are worth every bit of the drive, don't forget to bring cold portable storage, you'll need it! Lol”
