“My wife and I finally stopped by after recently moving into the neighborhood . We were happily surprised by how cool this shop is. The selection is huge and pricing is reasonable. This shop also sells accessories, turntables and more. Highly recommend!”
“There was a group of sellers blocking the walkway to chat about how everyone is buying there stuff and they can’t keep their booth stocked, when I said excuse me and tried to get by I was ignored which is crazy considering if I bumped anything trying to get around them I’d be charged bc profit! profit! profit! am I right!
I appreciate owners very professional response to this review and I will likely keep shopping here knowing there’s a serious person behind the business.”
“If I could give this business and the owner, Addison, 10 stars I would!
Incredible place filled with wonderful treasures. I've been on the hunt for vintage Spanish Colonial pieces but have had little luck. Menlo Home & Garden has beautiful pieces that I've been able to add to my home.
I found a beautiful and unique table lamp that will be the focal point of my Arizona room as well as a beautiful vintage Spanish Colonial lamp that Addison graciously changed from wired to swag making sure I had the perfect chain. I also found an amazing old ladder to display my quilts.
Adding a couple of photos and will update once I get the swag lamp installed.
This is old school customer service coupled with unique pieces that you must see to believe. Highly recommend”
“What a fun place to shop for something you didn't know you need, or for just the right piece to complete a room. Even if you don't buy anything, looking at how items are displayed is worth the trip.”
“Seriously best thrift store ever. I go at least twice a week. Great customer service employees are very friendly and attentive. They have everything you are looking for and more! Check it out it they will not disappoint.”
“HSIW has a special place in my heart. I absolutely love this store and have found myself buying more and more pieces from here as vintage clothing is typically better constructed than clothing today. I appreciate that the items/pieces they sell are thoughtfully picked - I hate to say it but too many vintage/antique stores are just crammed with garbage. HSIW is a pleasurable shopping experience - spacious, amazing selection, organized. Shop workers are happy to help with suggestions to, for example how to wear a certain item or how to care/wash clothing. Prices vary here - items can be as low as $5-10 or $100s of dollars. I feel the prices are quite reasonable; I would say most items range between $30-$150. One of my favorite things are the themed Sunday weekly instagram live sales (shop girls!). They started this during the pandemic and have kept it going ever since. I have always been into history and these live sales have actually taught me how to identify pieces from different eras. I know this educational bit wasn't the intention of the show but it has really elevated my knowledge on history (and fashion - I can now identify what historical fashion trends influence fashion of today). HSIW is a store with heart and soul. I recommend it to anyone who likes to thrift or buy vintage. Definitely worth checking out!”
“As for gardening, you find your pots and some things that you might need and you don't want to buy new ones or spend a lot of money on doors of different sizes and curiosities.”
“Some of the clothing in there reminded me of growing up at my grandparents house! Awesome clothing and pretty good deals. I needed some outfits for work, this did it for me.”
“The BEST antique store in Tucson! I recently visited Tucson, and we went to all of the antique and thrift stores that we could find, we enjoyed this one the most. This store actually has vintage and antique things, (unlike many other stores in the area), and reasonable pricing too. It's well laid out, organized, and fun to browse. The staff is absolutely wonderful as well, with the checkout process being very quick and pleasant. I would definitely visit again if in the area, and recommend that others check it out as well.”

“This is a must stop store for us in Tucson. The clothes are unique, beautifully organized, and reasonably priced. The owner is an absolute gem who makes you feel immediately welcome. She is very kind and helpful. Thank you!”
“They have good quality and representation of many eras. Authentic 50s 60s and '70s stuff is becoming a lot harder to find at thrift stores, yet they seem to always have fresh stock.”
“This is large thrift with an equally large amount of donors, which is located just south of the five points intersection. In the parking lot are two roll off dumpsters, where they throw out the trashy donations. Because they do their best to stock their shelves with high quality items. When you walk in the door, you see some free groceries that are offered to the needy. Then you see a sign which states what special 50 per cent deal is on each given day of the week. Then to the right is a large area of nice knick knacks and kitchen ware. Next in the center of the room, they've got an abundance of beautiful used furniture. Against the wall are lots of electronic items, such as TVS, stereo equipment, home appliances, vinyl albums, CDs, DVDs, etc. To the west is where they have their more elegant and higher end merchandise, like artwork or collectibles. To the south end of the store, in the next room is clothing, textile goods and the book area.”
“Congratulations (Jenny) Fashion, you are part of the community, You are family, and you will always be considered that way, Thank you very much for always supporting our events and families. “Ramsey is an excellent photographer and I highly recommend her for anyone looking to get pin-up photos taken. The studio is clean, cute, and the process is fun and a great time. Can't wait to get more taken the next time I'm in town.”
“Went to check it out,First time WOW!!! They have just about everything you need to fix things, alot of Furniture, clothes You really just need to go see it all and the staff was very nice friendly and helpful”
“The racks I saw had a lot of cotton versus polyester I’ve seen at thrift shops in the area. The reviews I read here were spot on. It’s a large space but the racks are not so full, easy to scan, much of what I saw was early 00s (but not y2k styles). I found McDonald’s happy meals toys that were total relics I purchased for $1 and will keep for my kids when it’s time, they were brand new in the package.”
“I have not been to the store but used their pick up donation service. The men called before arriving. Gave 30 to 40 mins warning.Came with an empty 16 feet truck that had a lift.Moved all the furniture and bins of household goods. Both men were professional and didn't damage the house while moving the item out to the truck. It saved me a lot of money because I didn't need to call junkers.I scheduled on the 8th of October to have a pick up date on the 20th of October.Plan ahead! It is going to a good cause and not a landfil.”
“Super nice and cozy little store! They have great prices and a wide variety of items to select from. The staff there, particularly Adria the new employee, is very sweet. I highly recommend checking this place out!”
“I highly recommend visiting this store!
The staff is kind and so helpful. The store carries a very wide variety of household goods: clothing, furniture, dishes, tools and more. They even have a market to sell discounted food items.
Plus, you can donate and shop there knowing that you are helping others by supporting the Miracle Center and Gap Ministries.
I cannot say enough positive things about this place.”
“New location for me. I always go to the smaller location on Grant. This is bigger and has a better variety of merchandise. Found some cool stuff at a great price. The clothing was too confusing to look through in the short time I had. It doesn't seem like the sizes are in any kind of order, and I hate the color coordinating. Just put clothing by size. So much easier to look for what I want. That's my only complaint though. Clean store, nice people.”
“desert vintage is now out of my price bracket but i feel they've evolved into something special. dv has always stood out from other vintage shops in the area and now the clothes are even more highly curated. the place is very minimal but not cold or unwelcoming- the person working was very friendly. looking at their online shop right now, looks like a beautiful clothes museum”
“Good place to find clean used items for kids.
The maternity section is a nightmare. All the pants are stacked in big piles on the floor. How is a pregnant woman supposed to get on the floor and dig around through that? And no place to try on clothes and you can't return clothes, only have 7 days to get store credit. Big gamble.”
“Ughhh! I can never leave that store empty handed! I try but there are so many great clothes and accessories in stock there, not to mention the awesome and realistic prices. I love this place!”
“I had the best shopping experience of my life today! Yasmine, in the fitting area, offered to help select items and create a few different outfit options for the event I am attending and let me tell you how blown away I was!! She is so passionate about her work, super talented and she seems like such a genuine human being! She created outstanding outfits with so much thought behind her choices. Buffalo Exchange, you are blessed to have such a wonderful staff member!! Highly recommend, and ask for Yasmine if you need recommendations! ?”
“As opposed to others’ bad experiences, I actually had a great experience selling here. Arrived when they opened on a weekday, and the two girls that helped me were very kind. Waited 40 minutes as was told to be expected. Out of the 15-20 items I brought, they offered to buy 4. I was just happy to hear they wanted anything after not getting my hopes up from the other reviews. My rating is five stars due to the pleasant experience with customer service I had and that I ended up walking away with more than I expected (what I expected was nothing).
Note: What surprised me was that the items they bought weren’t the brand new clothes with tags still on, but the Hollister dress from 2012 I had lightly worn, among other older items I kept in great condition. My suggestion to other sellers is, just bring what you have as long as it’s new or lightly worn, as you never know what they’re looking for at that moment in time. I could have taken my leftover clothes across town to another location but just dropped them at Goodwill.
I would definitely come back to this location again in the future if I dig out more clothes I want to sell!”
“LOVE LOVE LOVE this Plato’s! They always have the best selection of clothes and the staff is always so helpful and sweet! Definitely recommend this location ❤️”
“A note for the owners $2 a person when you park it's too much. Especially when it's slow. There shouldn't be any charge for parking before 5:00 p.m. I watched customers leaving because none of the stores are even open. My suggestion is $5 Max for parking after 5:00 p.m.”
“Very clean and organized.
The owner is very knowledgeable about his business. He seeks quality merchandise during his travels and helps you find what you are looking for. Definitely check it out.”
