Amazing deals as always .... got pumas for $30 and Reeboks for $30OK update 11-2023Last night my husband and I were shopping at Burlington in Benton, Arkansas, for winter clothing for our children. One of our children is autistic, which always makes shopping difficult. He was obsessed with the workings and appearance of the snow globe. I told him multiple times, " It's OK to look, but you know if we touch it could be dangerous not only to us but also to store to whom it belongs." As soon as I turned my eye, he knocked it down and broke it in it. Most stores simply write it off and have no problem If an accidental break occurs. I have in my 38 years of life, Never, ever been asked to pay for an item that was accidentally broken, until today. So the lady who was helping us told us, " Don't worry, we do not need to pay for it", she went to the young, night shift manager who was absolutely convinced that we were going to pay the $16 for the snow globe that my autistic child accidentally broke. I felt like something was lacking in his education regarding autistic, specifically older autistic individuals. It was not the fact that I did not want to pay for a snow globe. It was the fact that this is a special needs child and it was accidental. So I went ahead and called today, which is a Tuesday morning, and asked to speak to the general manager. Which he said this was a mistake, and to come by and pick up my cash . I was thankful and grateful . It leaves me wondering how many more stores need to be educated in the working of disabled children, especially those who do not visibly "look disabled". I understand also that this is partially the parental fault. But when you have a child who is developmentally disabled who is an essential adult, It's easy totake your eyes off of him for 1 moment and for him to get back to that spot within seconds to that object that he has found fascinating, so shout out to the manager, Brian, that I dealt with today. He was amazing. He was very kind and he understood the situation. Obviously, he knows more about special needs. The people working less time, this is no slight to them. It's just the fact that maybe there is more training that needs to be involved, with ALL employees, no matter the lightest workload or seasonal workers. Thank you, Brian, thank you for your kindness. Thank you for your understanding, you made my day and not anything that has to do with $16. It has a lot more to do with the fact that the parent of a disabled child is a rough 365-day-a-year job. Not all disabilities look "different" until you see them act strangely. It's people like you who are making a difference for those who can't make those changes for themselves. It's people, like Brian, who are making a difference for our most precious, yet vulnerable community.

I absolutely love this place! Jenny is great! They had to choose a little early, and I did not realize there were underage workers (which is why they had to close early). I had two baskets full of clothes for my daughter to try on and place in layaway. I felt so bad because I did not want them to have to put it all back on the racks. Without asking, Jenny offered to place them in the back so I wouldn't lose all the clothes my girls chose. I promised to come back the next afternoon, and I did.I was told by another manager that she couldn't do that for anyone, as if I asked her to and the items had been placed behind the register. Their backpacks and hats were put back, but they were able to try on all their selected clothes, and I was able to place them in layaway. He was training and doing an interview while doing my layaway. He was funny!

I love this store and the staff is great, however this is more of an issue with some of the vendors. I gave it 4 stars, because I had to return several items, due to small holes in clothing, due to the way the clothing was tagged. The pricing tags, should be placed in the seams of the merchandise. I’m sure your losing a lot of money due this issue, other than that I will continue shopping, but will exam my merchandise closely, before I check out.

No dressing rooms available unless it’s the weekend. I usually like to try stuff on before I buy it and I’m not sure of their return policy. This place is likely losing a lot of business from that.

I went in looking for a dress. I found 2 that would have possibly worked for what I needed. However, the fitting rooms were closed. So I asked about the fitting rooms because they said they were supposed to be open Friday-Sunday. I was told that the person who was supposed to work called in. When I asked if they could let me in, I was rudley told I would have to wait. Wait for what? There were 2 people working standing at the front of and inly a handful of other customers in the whole. I love Burlingtons, but I will not be back to that store.

We went to get my granddaughters a dress. We asked to use the dressing room and the man working was extremely rude. I spoke to the manager and he didn't say anything at all. No apology for his employees, absolutely nothing. I won't ever be back. Totally disrespectful.

They need to have staff that can go around and pick up the clothes that people just let fall on the floor and don't pick up themselves. They had no shopping bags to put your purchases in, so if you have a lot of stuff you need to take the cart out to your car.The staff seems friendly enough, though there isn't much contact with the customers except for at the register. They really need someone that can point out where you can find what you're looking for.
