I generally don’t write reviews. But this is probably the worst experience that I had ever with a rental. If there is a 0, I would’ve given that. Big time worst experience. They care nothing about customers. I had other proofs of my work but they insist to have a specific ID only. How does the type of ID matter? Is this any govt organization to accept a specific ID, you just want a proof of employment. Haven’t had this experience ever, even at different hertz locations. I have gold membership, If you gonna ask every details each time I visit a new Hertz rental, what’s the point of having gold membership? And also it seems hertz just want to rob people by adding insurance, it should be left to the individual when they have their liability insurance or full insurance or credit card paying for it, never experienced this issue with Avis, or other hertz location even. They asked me to bring all those specific things, I had to travel back by cab again. Again a loss of $20 dollars. And I am never going back again. I would definitely not recommend this location ever. A BIG NO to HERTZ at this location.

I picked up vehicle (2021 Nissan Altima with 50k+ miles) 12/20. I left for VA by way of SC on 12/21. In GA the low pressure light came on. I stopped by a truck stop and had tire filled. It appeared to be holding. I drove off and tech heard dragging. Flap undercarriage to engine had no pins and was dragging. He took pics. I called and text to Hertz immediately. I was reassured I’d be reimbursed for any costs and inconvenience. I got to SC and stopped for the night. I woke the next morning and the low pressure light was back on. I made other arrangement for my commute on to VA. When I returned to SC, the tire was completely flat. I called and texted the same number on 12/27. I was reassured I’d be reimbursed for any expenses. I was frustrated and question the policy for issues of their fault. I was to receive a call back but never did. I had the tire plugged and was shown me the pin from the engine flap that was in tire. He also informed that the tires were dry rotting and probably would not make the drive back. I cut my trip short so I could commute with ample time just in case. The car made it back and I turned it in 1/2. I explained to the manager but she was exceptionally rude, over talked, would not listen and did not even allow me to finish the story. I was told I incurred no expenses (neither tech would let me pay) so nothing to reimburse (as if my time is worthless or the fact that I rented this car for 13 days but actually drove it for 2 meant nothing). She even said “Well you dragged the flap that far with no issues and you didn't purchase insurance…” That’s idiotic and implies it was hanging before I picked it up! I moved to this area 10 months ago. I have rented from this location 6 times. I cannot continue business with an organization with poor customer service that does not stand behind their own products. I am a lawyer and quite fully understands what I would repair via any insurance I've purchased. Whether I got insurance or not, we entered into a rental agreement, which is a contract of which you guaranteed that your product be fit for its purpose. Considering the fit test with reasonableness, it would have been very reasonable for me to expect a vehicle you rented to me to make it to my destination and back without the engine flap coming loose, an engine flap pin puncturing a tire and all four tires dry rotted. I will dispute with my bank with texts, tech statements and pics if not resolved amicably.

They charged me almost $600 for 2 days... So highway robbery,...and then they charged me another $300 for smoking in the vehicle in which I most certainly did not.... These people saw me coming #neveragain.

Don't use these people. I reserved a truck online. I then called the location direct & explained to them what I needed. I was assured they would have it. I went to pick up at 8:30 AM only to be told that they not only didn't have the truck but I would have to accept a smaller one AND they didn't actually have it there. They would get it from another location possibly by 10:00. I asked for a different vehicle & they could provide it but then told me they would not accept my debit card. Will certainly never use Hertz again. Didn't want to give them even 1 star but had to in order to post this.

If you are considering using this business, please listen to my warning: "DON'T DO IT!!". I work in the travel industry, have rented hundreds of vehicles at locations all over the world. My vehicle was arranged by a 3rd party (which was the opportunity for Kris to charge an exorbitant amount). Although I have been a Hertz Gold Member for years and have never been charged for an automobile delivery, Kris charged us $100. We used the Toyota vehicle for four and a half hours and was charged more than $340. When questioned about the outrageous charges, Kris refused to give any concession. She saw an opportunity to rip us off, and she succeeded. If you value your money, do not do business here.

So dishonest - will never use them again. Tried to blame me for hail damage on the hood of a car I rented for an overnight trip when it was bright and sunny and clear the entire time. The car already had numerous scratches and 50k miles. When checking the car out we went around the sides and the person checking marked the numerous scratches but never did I think I needed to check the hood for hail damage, nor did I notice her check it. Never again for Hertz.

If you have animals be sure you change your clothes before you even think about getting in the vehicle. Was charged $225 for dog hair FROM MY CLOTHES!!

WARNING ⚠️⚠️ If you rent a 4 dr silver Nissan Altima from here, there is a very shallow small dent in the driver side door upper part about in the middle and tiny scratch at the bottom that they are charging me for so it's ALREADY THERE. Don't let them scam you for it too. Hope this helps save someone from an insurance claim because I didn't catch it. They are small and shallow.

The customer service is HORRIBLE. The lady working there has been nothing but condescending and rude to me. I was in accident that has caused immense amounts of stress in its own, but the way the reps at the bentonville location have talked to me and treated me had added unnecessary stress and concern. I highly recommend going somewhere else

The staff are incredibly rude and try and make you pay more then you should.I walked in telling her I had full coverage and she kept insisting I didn't so I called my insurance and they confirmed I had full coverage then she called me and told me they would be billing me for the insurance of the rental and it would be out of pocket because my insurance wouldn't cover it. I then again call my insurance to find out what is going on and they once again confirm I had full coverage and don't need to buy their insurance.I believe she is just racist, and what a sad person she is. Oh and she's the manager

Disgusting people. They will make sure to charge you extra for everything. Also, even if you book online and have a valid reservation they will not honor your booking. It really depends on who's at the counter and if she had her lunch or not. Coz if she's not in mood she won't take your booking no matter what. Celestie I am calling you out. Do yourself a favor and just go to Enterprise down the road. Much better service

Manager Kris, is rude, disrespectful and has zero people skills! Stated that she needed a credit card, as she would not accept cash... I asked if cash was legal tender, she said she was not taking cash so that I could steal her car. Too many cars parked in the tiny lot, and it was such an inconvenience to her when I ask her to move another vehicle so that I could get the truck I had rented out of the spot in front of the door. Treated me like I was some scummy dirtbag... go somewhere else to rent, trust me. I've rented many Hertz cars over the last 14 years and I will never come back to this location again!

Doesn’t take Chime, and has no good explanation as to why. She will just say “because we don’t.” I knew I should have just used enterprise like always, they take Chime. It wasn’t even the chime debit card, it was the credit, which runs no different than a discover credit card. The location is also very small, parking lot is crowded. They also for your insurance card? Enterprise never does that. Never again

Insurance was paying for rental car and the lady working asked for a bank car. She ran it and said it was denied. Ran another one and said same about the other car. I felt like she didn't want to approve a car.want
