The Native American Museum in Bentonville is a must see when visiting. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and made the visit outstanding. There are so many incredible exhibits that are by time period. The hand held audible devices make the visit were educational and interesting. I wish the other museums had this type of experience. The gift shop has a fantastic selection made by indigenous people. I highly recommend visiting this museum.

A very good museum to keep us busy for couple of hours. The staff were very friendly and gave a quick overview of the collection. The artifacts were arranged by periods. The quick overview of the artifacts help understand and appreciate significance of the artifacts. The audio guide is helpful if you do not want to read by yourself. The winter count artifacts were interesting. The kids were impressed in the mammoth and in trying to find their own arrowheads.

So! What a special treat to meet David Bodle. We happened across this place with the moving of the spirit in our lives. We were meant to suspend our time in this special place that has been assembled to educate. We learned so much. It is hard to sum it all up in a review. The trail of Tears mural set the lasting scene of sealing our window of understanding of our Indian experience.Excellent volunteer staff. Very caring and engaging. The roadway signage was what brought us to this fine place. Best of intentions to your future success.

My husband and I were given the opportunity to visit here while visiting friends in Russellville over the Christmas holidays!!! My personal favorite area was admiring all the Native American ceremonial pieces…… the detail and craftsmanship on each individual piece was absolutely STUNNING!!!!! I also was surprised and proud to see a special display that contained some of Ann Partain’s special pieces!!! I HIGHLY recommend a visit to this museum!!!!

Have visited the Museum many times over the years, watched it grow and get better every time I visited, learned to appreciate the Native American Culture more each trip. The staff is amazing and we have friends visit with us each year for a week from Texas and they always wanted to view the museum and we all made it just before Christmas this year, they were so excited and said it was the highlight of the week. The gift shop is so nice and my wife always purchases from the gift shop, she loves the Pendleton blankets and throws and saves to purchase, as all the ladies in our family love those as Christmas gifts, just so much to do, learn and see and the owner spent a great deal of time visiting with our friends that made it even more special. So much Early American works of art that will be saved and viewed for so many to see. The negative painted pottery amazes me being so brilliant and colorful after over 1,000 years, every drawer you open and view is amazing, Very obvious the owner and staff cares and enjoys what they are doing each day at the museum. Thank you so much!

Really worth the 2 hours we were there, & could've used another half hour to look at more details. The museum is very well curated and displays its artifacts attractively. I LOVED the arrowheads & all the other tools made by various Native American tribes. Some arrowheads, knives, etc, were found in AR and others were found across the U.S.The beaded moccasins and clothing and headdresses are outstanding. I felt great respect for the museum and its exhibits, what they stand for and for the people they represent.

You need to visit this museum! The interactive displays are really good and it has a good flow to show the progression through the various periods. We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was inside.

It was a rainy day so we chose to do an inside attraction and landed in this museum. We were pleasantly surprised. The people there are knowledgeable and the artifacts and displays were way more than we would have thought. We spent well over an hour there and there were items from all different countries. Learned a few things that I had not known before. It has to be one of the best native American museums I have been to before. even if your not into history you can appreciate the art and clothing and other items. Something for everyone to get into.

A great place to bring out of town guests! Employees were very nice and knowledgeable about the exhibits. A superb way to learn about native Americans and how they lived throughout history.Highly recommend the "arrowhead search" outside. We had an awesome time looking amongst the rocks and tepee for these treasures. Fifty cents each for each one you find.Nice little gift shop as well.Admission is free.Recommend!

VERY surprised at this wonderful museum. The fact that this place is free is amazing. Every single step you take is full of stories, images, artifacts, information, and videos. The size on the outside is incredibly deceiving. The audio self guided tour took us around 2 hours. So grateful this is here! Can’t believe it took us this long to visit. We look forward to bringing our out of town visitors soon. The only “downside” is how crowded our visit on the weekend was. Some times it was difficult to fully see artifacts in the glass because of the small areas being shoulder to shoulder at some points. It would have been much more enjoyable if we came during a weekday, we believe. But that doesn’t change the fact the experience was great overall.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Museum of Native American History. I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted to, but I will absolutely go back. There were so many items and the artistry is just amazing! I recommend this museum highly! Kids would love it, especially hunting for arrowheads outside. The gift shop is adorable with lots of stunning jewelry and fun little items. I had a great time and learned so much!

This museum was absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been traveling full time for over 4 years, and this is one of the best museums we have ever seen.It starts with displays of tools, toys, and weapons made from stone, bone and wood. They had displays of cooking equipment and pottery. Then more on clothes, headdress and blankets. Then moccasins and boots and smoking pipes. Even a display of medicine. This is a must visit.
