So about 9 years ago I opened a checking account and I signed paperwork saying I didn't want my account to be able to overdraft and I was told any charge that would overdraft my account would be declined. A few months later and I notice multiple $35 insufficient funds charges from the bank over a single transaction that should have been declined. I reached out to the bank and they had me resign the papers declining the ability to overdraft. Needless to say this didn't stop the issue and a few months later it happened again. So after this happened 3 times over the course of 2 years and I signed the documents for the 4th time the ability to overdraft was finally actually removed. Fast forward to last month, a charge was made to my account but It didn't go through since I didn't have the funds for it. Here's the kicker though, I was charged a $35 non sufficient funds charge by Centennial Bank after this charge that didn't go through. I called the bank asking why I got an overdraft charge when my account didn't overdraft. They said it was a return charge since the charge was returned. First of all, nothing was "returned" because no money entered or left my account. Secondly, this bank literally stole $35 from my account as an overdraft fee rebranded as something different. This is literally an overdraft fee with different wording. I will promptly be closing my account and I highly suggest not banking here.

Very rude , was considered switching to centennial, but dealing with the tellers at this location has been abysmal to say the least .

Bank manager Mel would rather pretend to be personally attack than actually help a long time customer. Centennial Bank wants a 'relationship' with the community but has no heart.
