Fort Smith Regional Airport is a small, traveler-friendly airport with only a couple of gates. It is extremely well designed, roomy, and immaculate. The large waiting area offers comfortable seating and a fantastic "mini museum." It is easy to navigate and fly out of, receiving flights from Dallas. The TSA team is wonderful, though security can be demanding. The restrooms are world class. A noted exception is the need for food options beyond vending machines, including healthier choices. Overall, it is a swanky, not your average airport, though some wish for more flights to other hub airports.
