“I got into cycling about 4 years ago and bought my first mountain bike from Bruce and Jann. I also go to them for road riding needs. Parkside has been a crucial part of my life and they really are like family. Being a female and riding alone is not always pleasant; Bruce and Jann both have called, text, checked in with my parents to let them know I'm safe and sound, and picked me up on occasion. They are reasonable. They are fair. They can get most anything you need when it comes to all things bikes.I have experienced and witnessed professionalism every time I have been there. Seeing someone describe their shop as dark and dated and using words like "snarled" when referring to conversations lets me know that they must have a depressing disposition on life in general. They are the friendliest, welcoming, and knowledgeable owners. If they make a mistake on something then that lets me know they are human and it's not the end of the world; they certainly wouldn't do it on purpose. If you want something other than a fantastic, local mom and pop shop with excellent service and a wonderful furry welcoming committee, then go to the big cities where they know you as customer and not a friend.”
