When you're wondering why it costs less than the Candlewood on the north side.....there are reasons. It is RIGHT next to a motel 6 and people are always hanging around outside the motel 6.We had to unclog our toilet 3 times during our two night stay, just from regular use nothing that would ordinarily clog a toilet. Both of the only pans for cooking had cooked on, dried food in the bottom of them when we arrived, and our room had only one fork. The stovetop looked like it turned on, but never generated any heat for cooking, and subsequently the garbage disposal did not work. However, the outlets in the kitchen area did work, and we were provided with a grungy portable two burner stove to use during our stay. The curtains did not close, there was a 6 inch gap that constantly let light in.I've stayed in Candlewood Suites that were more comfortable than the more expensive Staybridge Suites, I stay frequently in Candlewood Suites location, and this was definitely not up to par.Service was good and otherwise the room was clean, etc....although walking around on the floors of our room left my feet very dirty.

I’ve pleasantly stayed with ihg for all my business trips over the last half a dozen years and this property has been my worst experience. It started after booking my room the payment came out of my account weeks before our arrival date. That should have tipped me off this was more of an “independent” hotel compared to other property in the chain. While checking in we were quizzed by the lady at the front desk about the validity of my wife’s service dog, stating that she was going to charge us the pet fee (which is illegal in the case of service animals) we’ve carried all the paper documents for 10+ years and this is the first time we’ve had to present it.I asked was this a new policy since we’ve been traveling for the past couple days with no issues, the girl said no it’s just the policy, I asked is it an ihg policy or a property specific policy? She says I don’t know and has to call her boss, so I quickly get into the details of ihg as a parent company and how hotel franchising works and she finally says it’s a policy for this hotel (and this was at a pet friendly property)So after finally checking in without the pet fee charge we get to the room and find the fridge clanging loud enough that I unplugged for the evening, the ac unit sounded like a bearing was going out in the blower motor and in the morning found out the stove didn’t work.Overall not a pleasant stay at this property. We chose to stay mainly at Candlewood properties on this trip because of the overall good experience we’ve had at all the properties in the past but this hotel is in need of a solid makeover both in amenities and attitude.Safety: Not the safest area. Watch your back if you venture out on foot after dark, a good handful of creepy critters roaming the area and a few by the front door in the later evening.

We were traveling with our 8 pound furbaby and needed a hotel that allowed dogs, so we found this place. Having never heard of this chain before, we were a bit nervous. No worries, the room was large, clean, aesthetically pleasing, and had a kitchenette. The only complaint was that the water pressure could have been better.Noteworthy details: They had 2-ply toliet paper.

It is the worst IGH hotel chain I have ever experienced. I never want to stay here again. It is a very old hotel and needs renovation. The air conditioner temperature is not controlled well and the fan noise is too loud. The noise from devices throughout the hotel is too loud. The front service is not good. No breakfast.

We arrived in the evening to check in. The front desk girl that took care of us was very new and had been left by herself, so none of this is on her. Our check in took a considerable amount of time because she had to go step by step through the manual. She tried to reach the person training her but it did not appear that she was able to while we were at the counter. Upon signing everything, unloading and coming back in, I had to go through most of the process again which was inconvenient, but not her fault. The manager should have made sure the employee was properly trained before leaving her by herself on a Friday night. Our room smelled like urine and air freshener, which ended up giving me a migraine. I found a wall air freshener plugged in the next morning. It was overwhelming. There was no soap in the bathroom to wash our hands. Somewhere in the mix of checking in twice, our bank card was lost and never recovered. We traveled for over a month with no issues, but unfortunately this experience messed up the rest of our vacation. This is partially our fault, but had we not had to check in twice as we were on our way to our room, we wouldn't have been fumbling with the card, our luggage and our dog. Canceling the card has been its own headache due to everything it was linked with and it all goes back to our disastrous check in. This place needs to be checked in on by management, but I would still probably stay here again if I had to.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, however the location is not in the best area of the city. I was a bit concerned when I arrived to see two local police officers hanging around the front desk.

No ice even though the fridge HAS an icemaker!! I have NEVER stayed in ANY hotel without ice. Obviously this place is set up for homeless people. They have a LOT of nerve charging $100.00 to people who pay their own way!!! Should have made my husband cancel this when I saw the cracked floor in the elevator, the ladder in the hallway under a hole in the ceiling ( which was still there 2 hours later) right outside our room, the housekeeper that had still not finished her rooms by 4pm ( but she had plenty of time to chat with the Mexican that followed us in) I'm afraid to turn off the lights after reading reviews about ROACHES!!! I feel like I'm trapped in a 3rd world country! I came here because I have an early morning appointment with a doctor. Let's hope his office is a little cleaner & better equiped.

Two things were good about this place, the young man who checked us in, they should pay him more and the bed. The rest was a shithole. Old and worn out would be an understatement. They are renovating but the new faucet in our bathroom was so loose you had to hold it with one hand while turning it on with the other. The new shower head was more like a gentle list than a shower. I understand the desire to save water but if it takes 20 minutes to rinse off the soap, is it really saving water. AVOID THIS DUMP!

November 2022: My husband and I stay here almost every visit to family in Little Rock. We like the room with 2 beds. Full refrigerator, stove, and microwave in every room. Plenty of desk space if needed. So many stores and grocery stores nearby to buy food for your in-room dining. On this latest trip, Manager Thuy C welcomed us by name, and she found us a room on the first floor! We left some expensive items in the room when we checked out, and within an hour Simeon (at the front desk) called to tell us they were holding the items for us. We were still in town and able to retrieve the items before we left. We will definitely stay here again. Great value. Friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed July of 2022. The first night there was a single baby roach in the bathroom and the room had a funny odor. The next night, saw another roach in the bathroom. The third night I was awoke by adult roaches crawling on me in the bed. Immediately got up snd started packing. Left earlier than my expected departure date and went to a cleanier establishment. Would not recommend. Attaching photos of the roach on the bed and one from the bathroom.

I've seen the bad reviews but this was not the case with my stay. The room was very comfortable. I'm assuming they fix the bug issue. The lady at the front desk was very nice on Monday Aug/15/22. She greeted us and had a smile. The room was very clean and I liked that it had a large fridge and sink. Only issues I had was the bathroom door had no handle. Also the ELEVATOR CERTIFICATION has been expired since June of 2021. I didn't mind it but I'm sure that is a huge deal when it comes to safety and certifications for a proper working elevator. Also this hotel does not have a pool which is a bummer.

Ok here goes. DO NOT STAY HERE! My wife was woken at 1am having been bitten by bed bugs, there were loads of them, I quickly went to reception and he moved us straight away although we couldn’t sleep after this and my wife couldn’t even get in another bed here, we left around 6:30 am just to get away from the place. We feel we should have a refund, but not a chance. In case you’re interested it was room 117. This was early June ‘22 and 3 weeks later my wife still has the marks on her.
