Very disappointed that Heifer International sold this location. It seems to show the direction the company is going as reports are saying they have also become much more aggressive on hassling people for donations.Google maps needs to update the information on here so that others do not show up at this location expecting to experience what use to be an awesome experience.

Review is for this location, not the organization. Call before going. I saw the hours were 9-5, so I headed over. Parked and walked over the bridge and through the courtyard following the signs for “Heifer Village.” Unfortunately, when I got to the building entrance there was a sign the said “Permanently Closed.” Not sure what happened, but there is a contact info on the sign. It sounds like this is a worthwhile organization, and I was very excited to learn more. I hope it’s just the village that has closed and that they are still carrying out their mission.

This review is about the street rep, not the work that the org does. The rep started out nice but became rather pushy. She over-talked while I was trying to ask questions and when I asked for the website to do some research, she didn't immediately want to share the website with me. She said "we're bringing the website to you." so that I can make an impact in real time. Look, I understand that she's trying to be effective in securing a $1 donation, but there's a fine line between getting a "yes" and getting a "leave me alone". She ended up on the wrong side today because she was too focused on getting a $1 donation and missed the fact that I was interested in doing research and potentially making a much bigger donation. The org might do great work, and perhaps she's not a reflection of the whole org, but my personal experience didn't leave me feeling warm and fuzzy and I probably won't be telling anyone about Heifer International. Nothing positive, anyway.

I gave to this organization late 2020 and felt pretty good about it so I decided to do another donation late 2021. THAT WILL BE THE LAST TIME I DONATE. Since my last donation, I have been bombarded with telemarketing calls. I explained to them that I really only make these types of donations at the end of the year. They just want my money and they want it NOW. These people do not take 'no' for an answer. They have gone from the top of my list of donation charities down to below the bottom. Never again, Heifer International.

Strolling through the lovely gardens and fountains at Heifer International this afternoon. I did some consulting for them a few years back, and they are, by far, my favorite non-profit. Starting with a shipment of 17 young female cows to Puerto Rico in 1944, HI has distributed healthy and very much-needed livestock such as cows, goats, sheep, bees, and water buffalo -- along with training and other resources -- to more than 105.1 million people in more than 125 countries. Their 2020 annual report sums up best why I love them so. "We believe that ending hunger and poverty begins by developing long-term solutions in partnership with the people we are serving. Through this work, we've helped empower more than 34 million families since our humble beginnings in 1944. When communities and other stakeholders are actively engaged in implementation and financing, projects are much more sustainable. This enables us to work on a deeper, more concentrated level, fostering robust economic markets that allow family members to earn a living income, so that the basic needs of everyone in the household are met. We have seen results in transforming the level of transparency, accountability, and innovation in the nonprofit world through block-chain technology. Our School Milk Program in the United Republic of Tanzania is providing milk for children who suffer from a lack of proper nutrition while creating a reliable market for producers. Through the Hatching Hope program, our partnership with Cargill is allowing farmers to expand poultry production and sell their products at market for a living income. We are highly committed to running an efficient and effective organization. We believe values-based partnerships and investments are necessary for long-term growth." Hells yes times ten. We very much need more organizations like this, and if you want to donate, or even share a story, they would love to hear from you. Next time you're in Little Rock, come check out Heifer International. It will not disappoint. In fact, tell them Jason sent you.

This company is 100% BS!!! The people who collect donations try and scam you into monthly payments, claiming there is no other option. Then once you agree to give them your information, they charge it without asking for an amount. They just assume you want to donate what they want you to. Listen, $40 isn't going to keep me from paying my mortgage this month, but the fact that they charged it without asking is a total scam job. They will not receive one red cent from me and I will actively speak out against them any chance I get. Donate your money to worthy causes with honorable people.

This is a great way for us to aid the people who aren’t able to do it alone. They are interested in helping themselves but they need a little boost. Most of them live as farmers but have no knowledge of newer ways to accomplish things. They can do a lot with a little help. It is transforming their lives. They are able to form co-ps

This is a must visit should you visit the downtown Little Rock area. The building and grounds tours are extremely informative. We went for the fine art and stayed for the farm.
