Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic

During the recent winter storm, one of my dogs had a medical emergency and Pleasant Valley was the only open clinic I could find in town. They were able to fit us in for a same-day appointment. Unfortunately, we had to put my sweet girl down. Everyone at this clinic was incredibly kind, compassionate and respectful throughout the whole process. Everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and empathy. The few phones calls and interactions since my girl has passed have also been very thoughtful and kind. I just can't say enough good things about this clinic and the way they treated both me and, more importantly, my sweet Reese. Thank you to everyone who works here for the compassion you show animals and their humans

We were impressed with the doctor's (Barret?) knowledge and compassion and even humor when we discussed Sprite's potentially serious condition. It was the first time a vet sat down to take our questions, instead of half heading out the door or passing on to an aide. I know they see a lot of animals but I got the impression they liked Sprite immediately just as he's part of our family.

I was initially very nervous about bringing our cats here the first time, like anyone my cats are my babies and I am a little crazy about taking them anywhere that is not our regular vet. After the first visit I was no longer nervous at all! I have recommended them to everyone I know.They are sweet with our babies and pick up and drop off is very easy. We have never once had an issue with healing and they usually seem very comfortable once they are no longer stoned haha.I think it is so fantastic that they operate something like this, too many animals are left unfixed and the costs to do so are usually astronomical.So all that to say, if you have any doubts about going here rest assured you are in good hands!

You'd never know it is vegan. Just the right amount of spice, not over seasoned so you can taste all the fresh ingredients. Cornbread is phenomenal, slightly sweet, but not overpowering. Everything is homemade and farm to table. You won't regret it, even if you're not vegan.

The food was good but servings are pretty small, but the prices reflect that, as they are pretty cheap. I had the Carne Asada tacos and they were pretty good, but they are only about 2-3 bites each. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience and I could see getting lunch here if you want to eat light and fast, but unfortunately, I left hungry because I wasnt expecting the small portions.

I opted for the country fried steak (a favorite of mine), choosing the sweet potato casserole and the turnip greens as my sides, along with a jalepeño cornbread muffin.
Best greens I ever tasted! The sweet potato casserole was also delicious, reminding me a little of pecan pie. The country fried steak surprised me in that the breading was seasoned with more than simply salt & pepper, had a nice, savory flavor. It was more crunchy than crispy, and I enjoyed it—just the right amount of gravy, too. The gravy was seasoned simply, but on account of the savory breading it was just right, and the amount was spot on, not too much nor too little. Wish I had room to try the cobbler or pie! It was packed, and after my first bite, easy to see why. My plate was ready in a surprisingly short amount of time, and the total—with a tall apple juice—came to $13 and change, a fantastic value for the quality and serving sizes.

1201 S Spring St, Little RockI just found this place and I love it. It is so amazing to be able to spend time with my dog, get a good bite to eat, and even socialize if I want to. They have a ton of TVs inside and also a large Theater type screen outside. It was a game changer for the Super Bowl and now the Olympics. They also have a quieter upstairs area. The outside is Astroturf with Adirondack chairs and high top tables so that the doggies won’t disturb you while you’re eating or drinking. Speaking of food, they Have happy hour, daily specials, and their food is really good. So far I’ve had the burger, french fries, pork, rinds, chicken wings, pretzel bites, charcuterie board, and all were very good. Oh, and they also have mock tails. I especially love the Zen 75.The people who worked there are super friendly and helpful. Everyone is super mindful of their dogs behavior and it is a safe space to bring your dog. They have day passes so you don’t have to buy any type of membership if you don’t want to. I went on their app and quickly signed up my dog, uploaded vaccination records, which enabled me to skip all that at the door.

Working with Stacey was great! She updated us weekly with his weight, a photo, health status, any issues, etc. On the day of picking him up she was ready with all of his genetic paperwork, pedigree and more. We bought from Dogwood because our son also did and we were able to see what a magnificent lab he was becoming. After one full week with our new baby he is putting on good weight, playing well, sleeping well, pooping well, drinking well, and learning quickly. He is essentially house broken, has learned name-recall commands, and will put himself to bed in his crate when tired. Very good indications of intelligence. Of course all of this is real work on the parents (human parents) but I do feel like we are starting with a great puppy as a baseline. When getting tired our baby also lives to cuddle. You can never predict that in dogs, but I’m glad we have a cuddler. I would definitely use Dogwood again.
