Rental went OK; however, afterwards I had an issue with my bill that I needed help with. That is when I learned their only customer service option is chat via Facebook or Twitter. The responses were slow and intermittent. They ended up denying my refund request for collision coverage that I accidentally paid for twice (once via Travelocity & again with Thrifty). Even that was communicated via chat with no option for another way of communicating. I get automation, but at some point a conversation should be allowed for if needed. Thrifty just dropped several notches in my book as I see this as a way of deflecting issues and hiding behind a chat function.

Wednesday. 1:00 pm. The desk is closed. Rerouted to Hertz. Wait is horrendous. Silver lining— the line at zBudget is longer.

Absolutely horrible, service was terrible. Nobody knew what they were doing. We waited for an hour or two for a car. Never came.

Booked a car for Little Rock airport, get to the counter, nobody home. Ask the Enterprise people and find out they haven't been open for at least a year.

Worst car rental experience ever. Arrived on time at about 7:30 pm on a Thursday evening. Reserved a Mini Van through Priceline to use through the weekend. When I arrived at the parking lot desk there was a crowd of 20 customers or so all looking very unhappy. When I asked one if they checked in they said yes, two hours ago. When I checked in I was told my car should be ready in an hour or so. Everyone there had been waiting between two and three hours for cars they had reserved prior to arrival. There was an SUV available for the cost of an upgrade. As I had a two hour drive yet in my day I felt I had not choice but to spend another $300 in order to have the car I was promised and be on the road. When I wife inquired at another rental car company at the Memphis airport she was told that this is a nightly occurrence. Never again.

Terrible. Did a poor job of honouring reservations, also claimed there are no cars available when there are 17 vehicles parked outside in thrifty spots. Hours posted were inaccurate. Real bad.

Several people arrived to this airport at 1845 only to discover that their reservations for 1900 were not going to be honored, since the counter closed at 1800! On a Friday evening! I even called from Chicago at 1300 just to make sure all would be well in the event my flight was delayed. I was reassured the counter was open until 2300 and the agent even sent a message to the counter that I was due to arrive at approximately 1900. Customer service line was no help whatsoever, only kept transferring us to different people to tell us the counter was open and then, just kidding, it is closed. I will NEVER attempt to give my business to Thrifty ever again.

Like most of the reviews left prior to mine, if I could leave zero stars I would. I can confirm the many other reviews the customer service is horrible for thrifty and dollar rental.

I had never used Thrifty before and never will again. I only rented from that location because my normal rental company (National) was out of vehicles for the size and price that I was looking for at that time which was the end of January 2020. I frequently travel through tolls and I am always charged for the price of the tolls only. When using Thrifty, they don't tell you that you will pay an administration fee of $15.00 for every toll that you use. I have a toll that cost $.56 and they tacked on a $15.00 fee. When they were done I had over $250.00 worth of tolls when in fact I only had $25.00 in total tolls for the whole rental. The actual bill came to $114.87 since they stated that they applied a discount before sending me the final bill and automatically using my debit card to deduct it without my say so. My whole price for the rental was only $75.00. When they were done I paid $190.00. I could have gone with my normal rental company and gotten a luxury vehicle for that price. This is quite simply price gauging and I will never, ever use Thrifty again. Stay away from this company. You will undoubtedly get ripped off.

Don’t rent a car from here. I chose the refuel option, used half a tank of gas and they charged me $47 as if I used a full tank. On a VW Jetta? They didn’t mention how the refueling process worked and that was a sneaky and greedy thing to do. Never using them again and I’ll trash their name anytime my family and friends need a rental car.

Awful company with snotty employees. Not to mention the fact that they hold $200 from your debit card and it won't be refunded back to your account for up to 10 days...those terms weren't given to me up front and apparently hidden in the terms. Will never return here!

I had a delayed flight and arrived 30 minutes after 11pm. I had called ahead and they ASSURED me they would wait so that I could get my car. They did not. Had to pay 3 times the rate I booked at from another service. Very disappointed.
