I see the poor reviews but the customer service rep I dealt with yesterday was fantastic! She was the only one working and it was busy. She had a smile on her face and very pleasant! I did not have the same experience when I called corporate. She’s a keeper!

Suddenlink is cancer and the local staff are complete scum buckets. Incompetent, lazy, and rude. Now its optimum and its even worse. To everyone that works there please light yourself on fire.

I had optimum for 3 years and then decided to switch to a different service since they kept increasing my bill. I cancelled my service around Christmas, returned the equipment, I thought everything was good. A month later towards the end of January I got a bill for “unreturned equipment.” So I messaged through the messaging service and talked with someone and they told me everything was resolved and I didn’t owe anything. Now as I’m writing this they have sent my “bill” to a debt collection agency. This company wants to ruin my credit and have me hand them over money just because they can’t fix a simple mistake. Will never use them again

Trash company, worked here for awhile. You’re better off getting T-Mobile internet for 50$ a month. Bill never changes and you don’t have to deal with trash customer service which is designed to not work by the company itself.

Got falsely accused of DMCA/Copyright where they bricked my personal router, cut off my internet for over 24hrs and made me miss work [from home] - Got hung up on Twice, Chat prematurely closed once when talking to support via phone and chat. Decided to swap to Fiber and move on. The rep. that was canceling my service, something that should have taken 10 minutes max spent 45+ minutes trying to bribe me to stay with Optimum by offering free services for 2 months, taking $30 off 3 months and more, which I declined multiple time and told him, "I'm not interested in ANYTHING from Optimum" to which he STILL offered me things and he said, and I quote, "1 gig is 1 gig, Doesn't matter if it cable or fiber" < it 100% does, fiber is inherently faster [see attached image] - He also said "I thought they only claimed DMCA/Copyright if you downloaded it with intent to sell" which I had to also explain to him that "No, Any copyright claims are legally Optimums responsibility to handle false or otherwise because it's a liability" and he just said "Oh." - He was very pushy and felt like he was interrogating me the entire time as to who I switched to and why. They even called the next day to interrogate and try to bribe me again. Wouldn't go back to Optimum if it was the only service in the area. Go to Brightspeed for Fiber, better speed and customer service.Attached image as proof that Brightspeed Fiber vs Optimum - 1 gig is NOT 1 gig as the rep. tried to tell me. Cancelling as soon as we can find an alternative. Nothing but sneaky hidden fees and bill increases every month, and the customer service is pitiful.

Using a cup with a string will be better than using optimum...Customer service sucks, cancelled the TV part, guess what still being charged. 2 hour hold time.

Don't use them for TV and internet my bill started at 170 now it has gone up to 245 a month I am currently looking for a better provider

We canceled our service today January the 17th 2024. The phone rep beg me not to cancel. She kept me on the phone about 20 minutes trying to sweeten the deal. She offered like 6 months free service, she reduced the price to 35 a month for better service and and she almost refused take no for answer. I had to get abrupt with her just to accomplish canceling the service and get off the phone.Also, we paid our payment at the beginning of the billing cycle, which would have been January 1st. I assumed my payment would be prorated, and asked for a refund for the balance of the month. They denied my request and I was told that they would not be turning my service off until February 1st and therefore cannot get any kind of refund. They stole my money! They are a bunch of thieves! I would never use them again!
