“Had a decent enough experience. If you are using your Garmin, ignore it turning you onto Ninth or eighth Street. That is 100% residential. It says a small portion of seventh Street is no trucks allowed which makes no sense considering the entrance is on seventh Street. That being said it’s pretty obvious black Gate to go through. Pretty obvious where you need to check in being surrounded by orange cones. The ladies and shipping and receiving were nice. When you walk through the door on your right hand side, there is a clipboard that you need to fill out. Make sure you have your drivers license number memorized as well. Turn into the office and they will give you a door. I unfortunately let someone go ahead of me in the line because he was more prepared than I was. He got one of the two doors for shipping before I did so I had to wait for over an hour just to get a door. Which is super annoying considering there’s about 60 doors and there’s only five trucks there. Got loaded in less than a half an hour. When you’re done, they knock to let you know. I had my APU running, so I think I might have actually been sitting there much longer than I needed to have. What’s the point of taking my phone number if you’re not gonna call me when the load is ready anyway? At any rate, they give you your bill of lading and your seal, so when you’re done, you just split. Kind of puts a lot of fate and the driver hearing the knock. Maybe too much. They lost a star because absolutely no one answers the phone when you call. I could you not I called about 30 or 40 times to ask if I could go to a different door. No one answered until someone came out and said OK you can back into this other door. Not incredibly professional, but I got a door nevertheless. There’s a sign that says you need to leave a strap in the back, but they buried my strap under their pallets, and I had to get another one to put it into the slots. But they didn’t leave enough room between the pallets for me to reach them.
TLDR
Long way to get a door, quick loading. Take seventh Street to get to the black gate entrance. Porta potties are outside and gross but they are there. No one answers the phone when you call so if you have any questions you’re going to have to walk to the office.”
“I've read all kind of reviews about this place and I was prepared for everything. To make the matter worse, my guy was late for his apt, which was set for 1pm. Got there at 5pm, got a door at 5:01pm, loaded by 6pm. I don't know what else to say, speechless. These guys are phenomenal.”
