The Mall of America Expands with 12 Fresh Additions
The largest mall in the United States has announced the arrival of 12 new tenants. The Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota opened its doors to some new first-to-market brands, entertainment venues, and restaurants.
Let's take a quick tour of what's new:
As for eateries, Sweet Paris, a Parisian-style café, will serve you up sweet and savory crepes, waffles, paninis, soups, and salads, while a locally-owned cereal-infused ice cream and boba shop called Treats can offer milk teas, matcha lattes, smoothies, and more.
For fashion fans, there are plenty of trendy brands to explore. One of them is Kizik. Restaurantji previously reported that this "hands-free" footwear brand is opening its second U.S. store at Mall of America. According to MG2 principal Melissa Gonzalez, "It's critical that consumers experience the step-in technology...at the very beginning of the customer journey. It's an AHA moment that captures and celebrates the magic of the brand."
Another earlier announced opening is Chubbies - a casual menswear brand known for its patterned shorts and swimsuits. "Our customer base continues to grow across the Midwest, and this is our opportunity to meet them where they're at," said Kent Collins, Chubbies' Vice President of Owned Retail.
Then there is Edikted, a viral social media fashion brand popular among younger consumers, that offers a mix of streetwear-inspired closet staples and statement pieces, Marine Layer, known for its ultra-soft t-shirts with a California-coastal flair, and Mugsy, a men's lifestyle brand, that focuses on redefining men's apparel with its super-stretch, slim-fit denim, and other wardrobe essentials.
One of the most anticipated openings is Double Dare Human Crane, where visitors can experience the thrill of being strapped into a harness and lifted above a prize pit to grab their rewards. For something unique and artsy, Iris Galerie turns close-up photos of your eyes into personalized masterpieces to take home.
As for some interactive entertainment, Great Big Game Show allows players to compete head-to-head in a fast-paced battle for points on a fully decked-out sound stage, complete with lights, music, buzzers, and a live host.
Other notable additions include Larissa Loden, a local female-owned jewelry brand with a build-your-own charm bar, and True Classic - a brand with elevated, high-quality men's fashion at affordable prices.
Apart from the new stores, some existing ones like Francesca's, Oh Baby!, and The Escape Game have been renovated to stay fresh and match the new look of this massive 5.6 million square foot mall.
