Called them to check the timings because of a review that said timings are not correctly mentioned on the Google page. The guy couldn't understand basic English, he disconnected once because he couldn't understand. After that during the second call, he admitted that he couldn't understand what I'm saying - had to just skip coz didn't want to end up wasting time. Pointless if staff cannot communicate basic stuff.

Place is run great and lately they have had a very helpful and friendly person out front to assist customers bring in their recycling if it was too much for the customer to handle....and he's free, works off tips.nice guy too

Coming here for a few months now and today had a rude employee telling me I couldn't have my Bike in the building and I told him I couldn't leave it outside because I didn't bring my lock, he told me that no bikes are allowed in the building and I had to put it outside, I asked him (do you have a sign that says no bikes allowed) he said yes, so I put my bike outside lucky a guy outside said he would watch my bike for me while I counted my bottles, after I was done I looked outside and [there was no sign] saying I can't have my bike inside even looked on the website and didn't find anything. Don't know how long he's been working there but saying there is a sign (no bikes allowed) is a joke. I'd like someone to show me the rule of the bottle depot that I'm not allowed to have my bike, saying there is, is not a real rule unless you have it in printing, that the law

Not really the biggest fan of this bottle depot. Last time I went they only gave 8cents per beer can rather than the usual 10cents, which I thought was the standard for everywhere..
Anyways I just go to the depot by the border and they give me 10cents for all my cans.
Don’t really come to this one at all anymore.

I went to drop off some paint cans not knowing they were closed for Family Day. They let me drop the paint off anyway. That sure made my day. Thanks guys.

UPDATED REVIEW - I think there must be new management here - I went there today and it was quite clean and organized. A nice man who works there came sprinting out from the back and basically did everything from coming out to my car to disposing of the recycling I brought with me - I wasn't doing returns. I was very impressed - he was kind and friendly - what an HUGE improvement!Original post - Gross - been there a couple of times and always came out feeling like a shower was needed - yesterday was filthier than I ever remember it being

Brought in two huge bags, to be absolutely ripped off for only 7$. The guy proceeded to try to harass me and when I went to leave making it clear I wasn’t interested in talking he followed right behind me out of the store almost to my vehicle. Thankful I had my boyfriend drive me or I’m not sure what could have happened. Don’t recommend going here if you’re a woman. Or anyone who values their returns.

Watch your bottle count at this depot if dropping off. I got ripped off a few times. Took in 3 FULL blue bags for a return of 16.00. Took in 1 and 1/4 bag another day and got over 12.00. Do the math. Theft is theft. What’s even more crazy is seeing a count for non acceptable bottles. I’m one person!!! I buy the same beverages. I know they are ALL refundable. One more chance a this place. I’ll pre count and label in black permanent pen and tag and drop off and take photos Then let’s see what happens. This is sad… shouldn’t be like this.. not all workers are crooks but it’s a happening and management should be on it.

Don't go here. They are only paying 8 cents for beer cans. The recycle program in BC guarantees 10 cents. Please go else where
