Alderwood Farm is an incredible and special place, described as one of the most special places guests have ever stayed. The property is beautiful in every direction, gorgeous, and radiates happiness and serenity. The rooms, cottages, and farm are peaceful, thoughtfully designed, charming, spotless, perfectly clean, stocked, comfortable, and feel like a home away from home. It is honestly one of the cleanest places.
The hospitality and hosts are phenomenal, amazing, warm, welcoming, and attentive, making guests feel like family. The host is an exceptional and amazing host who has poured their heart into the place, with love felt in every corner.
The farm store offers an incredible and vast array of the most delicious, fresh, and flavourful foods, all prepared locally with amazing skill and beautiful ingredients. The food is second to none, mouthwatering, bursting with flavor, and includes fantastic items like scones, soups, pizzas, irresistible curries, hummus, lasagna, and phenomenal pies. Guests found the prices excellent and affordable.
The location is perfect, close to town and a short five to six minute drive from the ferry and restaurants, making travel easy. It provides a perfect balance of convenience and a peaceful, serene escape that feels like a completely different world.
Meeting the friendly farm animals adds a wonderful and memorable charm. The friendly donkey is a character and superstar, the geese have strong personalities, the emus are something else, and the dogs are adorable. Guests left feeling grounded, grateful, and already dreaming of coming back, with many planning yearly visits and recommending it highly.
Wow, we organised a small women's retreat here and it was perfect. Jules is a delight, her food is fantastic, the farm is delightful, especially the animals... I would recommend to anyone looking for a generous and local host.

The beef lasagna is absolutely incredible! The pies and cookies are amazing as well. Everything they offer is of exceptional quality and full of flavor. The service was outstanding, and we stayed on the farm for several nights and had the most wonderful time. We’re already missing Tony!

Came by here to explore and pick up some lovely things and homemade food. Did not stay at location butaybe next time!
