I came to collect one of my new card. But the line was crazy. I don't know for what they have these many counters. I was standing in line for almost an hour, and still, this much line was left. What are these guys doing. After having 4 counters and some counters, I have 2 people as well . What are they doing ? The question is, why are they taking so long for. I had called several times before coming, but no one picked up the call. And I had to face this long-lasting line always. So, what are this guys doing. "WORKING or CHILLING" at job. ??

Only giving it a 2 stars because the ladies that helped me were super friendly and sorted out my issues. Unfortunately, the line was crazy long and I waited close to half an hour for service.

All I needed was to get through to someone to ask a question about picking up my new credit card. No matter how many times I called, no one answered. So I went there. When you walk in there's no one there to help you. There's multiple different counters you can line up at with no indication of where you should go for help. There's a security guard sitting there who looks at you but she is talking on her phone and doesn't say anything. Not pleased at all.

Worst banking experience ever. Went there to get my credit card activated as directed by the customer service to which bank employee took my id’s and did what was needed to be done and when I went back to use my card it wasn’t working for which I had to go to the bank again to which they denied to help and call customer service for further assistance, after waiting for 45 minutes on the call, I was told that the standard procedure is that an Employee from the bank must call customer service while I am present at the bank to get the card activated otherwise it won’t work!! This basic thing wasn’t clear to the customer service first when I called and even to the branch workers. First ever product from CIBC and won’t ever try another product from them. Total Disappointment

It does injustice to the universe when CIBC's review score is similar to that of TD across the street. Although far from perfect, CIBC delivers reliable mediocrity with frequent highlights compared to TD. I would complain about wait time and teller scope at CIBC, but every moment I have to interact with TD is simply soul-ripping.

NOT ONE STAR BUT -0. Considering to close my account with CIBC. I’ve been with them for 2 years and still my paycheques keeps going on hold. So frustrating to wait after 4 days before I can use MY OWN MONEY!. And that has happened EVERY PAYCHEQUE!

I will be closing my bank account tomorrow! The woman with an accent that was raising her voice at me and talking over me refused to give me her name and I asked for a supervisor then she hung up on me. I called back several times from both of my phones and she would not answer the phone! I am livid.
They have essentially stole $250 from my account because I put cash in the atm 3 weeks ago and all of a sudden I wake up to the money missing from account. They are saying that now I have to wait for an investigation so I can have MY money back that I DID NOT do anything wrong with!
STAY FAR away from this bank with your hard earned money!!

There’s no choice to give 0 stars or I would have. I have deposited my cheque from ICBC been over a month they are still clearing the cheque as they expect me to wait for my money while they are supposing to clear the cheque really frustrated with the service. NEVER TAKE LOANS FROM CIBC.

Four stars because it’s showing on the map as closed after 5pm. It has ATM which has been open 24/7. At night times there is plenty of parking, but I am not sure about daytimes.

Even 1 star is too much for this uneducated financial institution. I have deposited one bank draft (not cheque) on Monday morning and the teller said it will be cashed by Friday morning and it is not different than cheque. Well, as I have no other options, I deposited. When the money didn't get credited to my account by 1 pm on Friday, I called the bank, they said it will be cashed at 11 pm. Because of verification (!), it will be done 11 pm BC time (2 am ON time). I asked them what verification they still need to do which they couldn't do in the last 4 business days, they said this is how their systems works. Well, being living in first world country I feel like CIBC's service is worse than any third world country. They simply don't do anything, most likely invest elsewhere to make some money.
