I googled home/mobile automotive services and Darin’s D.C.D Automobile Services came highly recommended with a 5 star rating. “I needed to Topup engine oil, I phoned a couple of shops in CR to ask if they have the oil for my car or else I have to drive Nanaimo and Gladly, only North Island Lube carry it, and got in same day, Kyle explained to me thoroughly and very transparent to what they’re doing in my car and I could not be happier with the experience. The Manager Kyle and the whole Crew was professional, friendly, and took the time to explain everything clearly without any pressure.The work was completed on time, the pricing was fair and transparent, and my car is running great. It is hard to find a mechanic you can truly trust most especially my car Benz AMG I need to drive to Nanaimo to do any mechanic job, but North Island Lube has earned my loyalty. “travelling to Port Coquitlam from a stay on Quadra and noticed that a big piece of plastic on the underside of my car was hanging low. Googled shops and decided to try this one and the receptionist heard my story and said come on in. Tyler took my car two minutes later and repaired as best he could. (The piece is falling apart!) He secured the plastic plate and he did it for nothing. I so appreciate what he did and totally recommend them”

“We had a tire blowout while coming back from camping out in Strathcona. After having to stay the night in Campell River we searched for a compatible tire the next morning with little luck. Associated Tire was able to find us a used compatible tire and had it changed out immediately, getting us back on the road. Great customer service and appreciate all their help.”

“We cannot say enough about Scott, Sara, Jacob and Tommy ( and parts dept) of Carmac Diesel. Our motorhome had engine issues in August and this team of professionals did so much to help us get the repairs done. This including help with organizing the towing to the shop, diagnostic to find the problems, finding and ordering potentially obsolete parts, removing and installing parts in difficult locations and being cheerful and helpful. Our motorhome is back home and running smooth - ready for our next adventure out. We cannot wait to recommend this business!”
“I had a campervan in Strathcona provincial park that was having some alternator/charging problems. Brian, Roger, and Ryan were able to help my renter the next day! For context every other shop is booking weeks in advance and were quick to turn me away. Not only did they help me, but they were kind and thoughtful around the situation I was in. They were willing to drive to where my renter was and get my van in tip top shape once again. I will always remember their service and they will be the first shop I call for any mechanical needs I have in Campbell River area. THANK YOU SO MUCH!”

“I wish all mechanics were like Tom. I took my old crappy van in to get the alternator, battery, belts, and spark plugs done, and a tire change. Tom called me on the morning he received it and gave me a cost estimate, honestly explained a different issue that he believed needed addressing, and gave me options when I said I couldn't afford it. the estimate was correct, and he got the work done on time. It shouldn't be so hard to do, but for some reason a lot of mechanics have trouble with this. I have dealt with a LOT of mechanics in my time, having operated taxis for a decade and now as a tradesman. Lakeland Automotive was one of my most positive experiences with a mechanic. Cannot recommend highly enough. 6 stars.”
