“I've been a summer regular there for nearly every summer, and I have to say they have upped their game. They used to almost always be very short on stock now they have a solid supply of everything one might forget or require for a trip to the lake. Along with adding in a bunch of novelty items and clothes; reasonably well-priced. Finally, they understand their customers are either people who live there year-round generally retired folks, or weekend warriors out to rip the boat around. Let their hair down, so they have a full liquor license and a boat launch right on site. Yes, it's come a long way since I was a kid and it seems to be much busier and popular due to some of these changes. It's not a huge deal to have to drive the extra 20-30 min round trip to Scotch Creek, but it's far more convenient having the option 5 mins away. Plus it's more of a mom-and-pop style store, giving it that buying local feeling I suppose.”
