I love Urban Barn. Very chic and classy items. It is something for everybody's taste. The staff is excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to please. They give you solutions when you are stuck. I highly recommend the service they have: Virtual design studio. Kim Guimond's advice on rearranging my living room, made me fall in love with my home.Thank you so much everyone.Respect and loveAdriana

My wife and I visited the store for accent items for my business. Unfortunately, we were not greeted or assisted by anyone upon our arrival. To make matters worse, the individual who appeared to be the manager or supervisor was extremely rude towards us. My wife is an employee and used her employee card to make the payment, which I completed. However, the manager/supervisor proceeded to lecture us (in an impolite tone) about the store policy that requires the payment card to belong to the employee using the employee card. While I understand the need for policies, I felt disrespected by the manager/supervisor's approach and would have appreciated being informed beforehand. It seemed as though she simply wanted to assert her authority and accused us of buying the item for someone else. I have visited other Urban Barn outlets in Port Coquitlam, Langley, and South Surrey, and found them to be much friendlier and less judgmental. My advice to anyone visiting this specific location would be to manage their expectations or simply visit another store. I do not intend to return to this location as I cannot tolerate disrespectful and judgmental people.

Staff did not approach me to see if they could help me. When I approached a staff person regarding an item I had ordered online and the same item I had on hold at the store, she did not seem interested in helping me, or to explain the situation and definitely not friendly. I did not have a complaint, just a query. When I did make a purchase another sales clerk was friendly.

My sofa bed order was put in with errors x 2. The initial employee who put in order was indifferent and not really listening. Manager contacted me twice due to system error. Hopeful couch comes on time and without issues but my confidence is not high

These people that work there didn’t even say hi or welcome to me or my girl. They just looked at us while we browsed the store with a judgemental stare.

The Manager and staff are very nice and helpful,, the helped us change our sofa,, as the first one was not what we wanted,, but they went above and beyond to help us,, so thank you,, we have used Urban barn for years,, both in Kelowna and Coquitlam,, always received excellent service, but the Coquitlam store Bravo, bravo The best of the best

I'm enjoying using my leather ottoman that I purchased, however, I'm very disappointed with the RETURN POLICY for furniture! I had also bought round nesting coffee tables in the store, but when I brought it home, it was too big (even though I measured the area and thought it would fit). I found out the hard way that they have a 15% RESTOCKING FEE and it needs to be returned to a warehouse in Delta - way out of my way). Apparently, I signed that I read their policy.Even though I like the store and the look - I WILL NOT SHOP there again! There are other places to shop where their return policy is a little more user friendly.

Beware the returns! Read the fine print. For large items, you will be dinged 15% restocking fee. On $1000 purchase you are losing $ 150.ALSO, you are returning your item to the Aniscis island warehouse. Do not think this is Costco or London drugs or any other customer-centered business. Nice stuff however you will not wish to return it.

Potential shoppers should be aware that staff do not help you out with your items and they don’t tell you that at the time of purchase. I had an awkward mirror that I just needed help to push into the car. The sales person came out to my car and just looked at me and said he was unable to help. A stranger walking by gave me a quick helping hand. Disappointing for sure. I will be spending my precious time and money at more accommodating stores in the future.

Love Urban Barn, but the purchasing of two Christmas ornaments must have taken 5 minutes. Doesn’t matter if you’re purchasing a couch or a placemat, the process to pay seems to be the same.

Customer service is non-existent. Had a similar experience to another reviewer, Joanne. Will not be returning.(Update: Thank you for the response. It seems like this is the default response to all negative reviews. Not sure what contacting the Customer Care line will exactly accomplish. It took me 2 seconds to find a review that detailed a similar experience, which saved me time from having to type out the whole thing, but based on my initial visit today, it appears as though not much has changed. It is disappointing but not surprising. Will not be contacting the customer line but your response is appreciated.)

Lauren was so helpful for the whole shopping experience! We ended up in the store 2 days in a row, plus an over the phone order.
