I opened an account with RBC 2 days ago and today I'm going in to close my account and withdraw the money deposited. My reasons for this are:
1. I am a disabled person who was forced to stand in line and stand in extreme pain at a regular till whilst watching able bodied persons sit at the disabled till and do their banking. Why? Because I was ignored at the seated wait area.
2. My obvious extreme pain was ignored by your teller staff who refused to use the seated area for me even when I requested they do so.
3. The man who set up my account was openly sexist, abliest, and refused to set up the account I requested and instead set it up so I don't have access to my funds for large purchases. I deposited tens of thousands of dollars and I can't even buy myself a new cell phone or clothes for my children... nevermind much needed purchases for my business.
4. I am in my 50's and at this point in my life I expect to be able to spend my money when and as I choose.

I simply tried to get a human to book an appointment to discuss investing. Tried 3 times and no luck.

My experience with Anshi at the RBC Courtney Branch was was a 5 Star rating. Anshi provided excellent customer service, saved a service cost and walked me through the steps on my online app. Thank you for the great service.

Just like every other bank. Line up to the door. Only two people working. No acknowledgement at all.
Waited 50 minutes in line just to be told I had to make an apt. Y’all need a receptionist or a greeter to filter this stuff so we’re not wasting everyone’s time.

Thinking of changing banks as the line ups are always ridiculously super long and slowwwww.

Extremely helpful staff. Chetan Rama Naidu took the initiative and the extra time to explain everything to me, as it was my first time in Canada. He was very polite, helpful, understanding, and mature.I highly suggest him for people who require help.

There is no way to call the branch and speak to someone. The virtual assistant is super infuriating and not at all helpful. I can't find any way to email the branch either. How can a bank not have these services? They don't have an express lane in the branch which is annoying and there's always a 20-30min wait. Mostly because the senoir population uses the branch for services that can be completed online. I literally just go to the bank because my apt has coin laundry and that takes a minimum of 20min to complete.

Nice, friendly staff. Sad to find out they didn't have a coin counter when I brought my kid's piggy bank.

The service at the branch is great but don't try and phone them. You will have to go through the RBC Virtual Assistant which is the most frustrating robot and the phone hold times are impossibly long, so long that it is easier to go in person to the branch. At one time one could phone the branch directly which was so much better.
