We went in to Duncan Hyundai to " have a look" at upgrading our vehicle. We ran across Simon Young, who was very helpful. He listened to what I was interested in and didn't try to upsell me but showed me vehicles that fit my declared budget. All round good experience.

We had a great experience at Duncan Hyundai, our sales person was Simon Young and he made the experience fun and informative at all times. I also commend Scott who made negotiations a pleasant experience. Simon was especially outstanding in the delivery process, carefully taking us through the features of the car, setting up our profiles and cell phones. When minor issues occurred after delivery a quick text to Simon resolved all issues. I have bought many cars over the years and Simon gets my vote as the most helpful and knowledgeable sales associate I have dealt with.
Overall an excellent experience.

Unethical, dishonest, and sloppy business practices - AVOID this dealership! Came from off-island to check out a Toyota Venza 2014 (still for sale with a transmission issue that they are not disclosing!). Car was presented as being in great shape and ready for sale other than a small cable fix on the battery (which they quickly botched the repair of prior to test drive by using an improper marine cable because the OEM part was on back order). Cosmetically it looked alright. I was hopeful and in need of a car, but wanted a third party inspection because of the bad reviews I had seen here. Took it to the most popular and highly rated shop. When I asked, they tactfully cautioned us about the dealership, perhaps because we are a young family and they didn’t want us to get screwed. The inspection found:
- A hard code for a solenoid issue, signifying a definite problem with the transmission. This could have become a nightmare and a financial catastrophe for us, had we trusted the dealership. The manager and salesman pretended to be shocked and said they never ran a scan on it (LOL, as if, it was a trade-in!). And then said it wasn’t a safety issue so they didn’t have to disclose such things.
- Warped brake rotors, but new pads which caused a shuddering drive. Instead of doing a proper replacement of both components, they did it sloppy. Basically the bare minimum to pass for some semblance of vehicle “safety”.
- Dirty cabin air filter and rodent signs around the engine.
We found :
- The power hatch of the tailgate had an electrical issue. The salesman tried to introduce the hatch as if it were manual, but thankfully we were familiar with this model and knew to probe further.
- Also worth mentioning that the salesperson told us the car came in a few days ago, but we were later told it had been there for over a month, which felt like a sleazy sales tactic.
In summary, do not give this dealership your dollars! Steer clear! Photos of third party safety inspection included for reference.

Good friendly service. Considering the construction chaos the sales staff do quite well. Next We will have to see how the service staff do.

As a young adult that was looking to purchase their first brand new vehicle, I found it very difficult when dealing with other dealerships prior to Duncan Hyundai. It was hard to find someone who would take me seriously. This was not the case here. The moment I stepped on the lot, I was greeted by Simon. As soon as we started speaking, there were no games or BS, and I was taken seriously about my inquiries. Simon took the time to explain and show me every detail of the vehicle I was looking at purchasing. He made the whole experience easy, comfortable, and made me feel like a valued customer. I’ve never experienced such great customer service. I managed to purchase the exact vehicle I was looking for, a 2025 Hyundai Elantra preferred with tech package in cyber grey. Let me tell you… I COULD NOT BE ANY HAPPIER. Since purchasing this vehicle, Simon has followed up with me multiple times and has made sure I’m happy with my choice. He’s always fast at responding if I have any questions or concerns.. and he truly seemed happy and excited to see me get into my new vehicle. I could go on for days about this positive experience, the customer service, and about Simon in general. Such a great guy. I will always recommend Duncan Hyundai over any dealership on the island. Thanks again, Simon and the Duncan Hyundai team!! You guys are killing it!

Do not waste your time. I needed some warranty work done and was quoted 4 hours for the repairs. When I got there they told me I could pick my car up in 7 hours and when I said I could not wait that long and requested a loaner car, they declined. It isn’t the first time I’ve had terrible service and lengthy delays in services. They were also going to charge me over $100 to run codes when my check engine light came on. I recommend going anywhere else for warranty repairs. You’ll get better service and it’ll save you money in the end.
I might add that they also did not offer any help or assistance giving that they expected to have my car from 9:40am until 4:30pm. The dealership where I purchased my vehicle (the mainland) always offers a ride to and from work or even a loaner car if they expected to have your vehicle for most of the day. Good customer service goes a long way!

I struggled to write this,
My EV needed the regular service, so I called and booked an appointment. They told me the price and what they would do. No problem. While my car was there they called me to add a 300.00 charge re: lubricating my brakes. I said No thank you. Car has 30000km. also added 20.00 for supplies?? they also told me that the tires were rotated. ( How did I know this didn't happen, later that same night I put on my winter wheels.) If you have done this in the past you would know they should come off very easy. ( no rust holding them on) and mine did not. HMMM.
Anyway I didn't really care about the extra 20.00 and the brakes all I can say is LOL
Please be aware
Oh ya part of the 20 was to wash the car, which wasn't done.
But they were nice.

It felt great to shop locally and be so well taken care of..Both Jordan first and then Simon Young gave us extra attention. Very happy with our buying experience at Duncan Hyundai. We originally came in to look at a new Elantra, none were in stock at the time (which worked out great in the end, realized we needed a hatchback not another sedan). We had a look around the lot and spotted a 2024 Venue. Simon was around but wasn’t aggressively hovering, close enough that we could find him and ask questions if needed. He helped us test drive 2 cars and looked in a third. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and just awesome. It was refreshing to talk to someone who wasn’t pressuring you to buy a car like other dealerships. Simon made sure we were comfortable with the newer technology and navigating the car. Everyone else involved in our purchase was great too. If you’re looking for a new or used vehicle, come by this dealership first!
